Oh my pretty! This next wedding takes place at the lovely Cumberland Heritage Village Museum, and it's full of whimsy and romance. The bride's soft color palette of pink, navy, peach and gold enhanced the natural elements of the space for a romantic garden party vibe that's almost too perfect for words!
There is so much romance to be had at this Ottawa pink and navy whimsy wedding perfectly captured by Eryn Shea Photography, and we have even more must-see photos in the full gallery here for you to enjoy. Also, don't miss the brides budget breakdown below to see how much a wedding like this may cost you.
From the bride: I chose a neutral colour palette that would blend and enhance all of the natural elements outside — blush, ivory and navy, with hints of peach, gold and wood. I loved the bridesmaid dresses. They were all long flowy chiffon in a light neutral blush shade and each bridesmaid wore a floral crown to keep with the whimsical garden theme. The dresses paired perfectly with the groomsmen’s’ fitted navy suits and pale blue plaid bow ties. The entire wedding was visually stunning. It was like a dream come true!
We wanted a casual outdoor wedding that was equal parts romance and elegance with just a dash of earthy whimsy - something that resembled a whimsical garden party where everyone could relax and enjoy themselves. For the style, I envisioned an al fresco event with luminous candlelight, floor to ceiling florals and lots of soft, demure, romantic details that enhanced the natural beauty of our venue, without taking away from it.

From the centerpieces, bouquets, floral hedge, garland, floral chandelier and ivy hanging from the wooden beams - our florist perfectly brought our floral vision to life! We wanted the flowers to compliment the already picturesque grounds at the museum - to look as though they had been handpicked from the garden and perfectly arranged. Everything about the flowers was perfect and really contributed to the feeling of an elegant whimsical garden party.
I wish that I had splurged on my wedding planner’s full wedding planning service as opposed to the “day of” service that I chose. When I first started planning my wedding, the cost of having the full wedding planning service deterred me from taking the plunge as wedding related costs just kept climbing and climbing. In hindsight, while my “day of” service was excellent, the cost of the full wedding planning service would have been money well spent!
