the design: red bows and romance
When a florist gets married, you can expect pretty flowers but no one would have expected all the fun, funky details and trends this wedding was filled with. Experience this eclectic, trendy-chic wedding in the heart of Downtown Indianapolis mirroring the vibrant energy of the city. Katherine and Devon’s celebration began with a timeless circle ceremony at the Indiana Statehouse with arched florals.
The reception boasts a funky and fun ambiance overflowing with trendy details. The color palette is immersed in lush, jewel-toned arrangements by Duet Floral of bright red, lavender, and blue. The elegant beauty in all the lush florals was sprinkled with modern details like disco balls, red velvet bows, a Lambeth cake, and statuettes at the bar wearing heart-shaped sunglasses.
the fashion
In shades of plum, wine, and lavender, the bridesmaids' mix-and-match dresses incorporated every aspect of the color palette into their ensembles. And we love how each bridesmaid carried a unique bouquet featuring a flower from the bride's bouquet.
The bride donned a textured A-line gown by Jenny Yoo and opted for glam waves through her long dark hair.
thoughtful favors
Each guest received a hand-written postcard at their seat, florals were broken down at the end of the evening for guests to create and take home their own bouquets and a live watercolor artist painted guest portraits during the reception for everyone to remember the incredible evening celebrating Katherine and Devon.
the cake
A dramatic three-tiered Lambeth cake was the perfect finish to the perfect evening and the cherry on top of this very on-trend wedding.
