Leave it to Corfu island to make you feel entirely enchanted by the old Venetian flair of the island and the aristocratic vibes.

Elena's styling, with the help hair and makeup artist Thalia Tzanetis, was very feminine with a form-fitting dress and pretty romantic details. Just look at the delicate beading of her Anne Barge wedding dress and her stunning romantic florals by Leonidas Rammos. It was fit for a Hollywood diva and with her dapper groom - they shared the perfect just married kiss on the stairs of the grand Cathedral.
Held in Danilia Village, a unique replica of a traditional Corfiot village, this venue was the perfect setting for Elena and Niko’s celebration. Authentic, colorful, and private this picture-perfect village, nestled in the verdant greenery of Corfu, reminded us of Italy yet with the Corfiot flair that makes the island world-famous.
Elena and Nikos work and live in the United States, but what made them decide on a Corfu wedding was the dream of Elena’s father. Born and raised in Corfu, he had the big dream of seeing one of his children getting married in the grand Cathedral of Kerkira.
The dream was nurtured, and a few months later, here we were to one of the sweetest weddings ever. A warm and friendly family affair was what our couple wanted for the wedding and Bright White set the ton perfectly with gorgeous custom stationery. Elena is a nurse, and she is nurturing and soft-hearted and her family and friends would make her wedding day precious.
However, all the prettiness in the world cannot compare to how in love these two were. We enjoyed capturing their first dance, warm kisses, and all the small details that will make them think of their wedding day for the years to come.
Our tip? If you want a unique yet refined destination for your wedding day, Corfu island should be on the top of your list. The culture is rich, the landscape is pure magic, and the people are so friendly and enthusiastic! We hope you get inspired!
What stole our breaths away? Oh, it was the wedding dinner setting in the Kadounia which traditional Corfiot word meaning the cute little streets where folklore musicians would serenade the young ladies each night!
Hundreds of fairy lights and a long, long table from The Secret Kitchen for the guests made the night magic and the setting warm and friendly, pretty much how we imagine the party in the house of Capulets' would look like the night Romeo met Juliet. Luxury Dj Events and Dj Spartakos provided the entertainment and lighting for this romantic reception.
Incorporating the local elements was very important for the couple, so what else would be more appropriate than cumquats? Indigenous to the island and celebrated for their citrusy flavor are an iconic symbol of Corfu.
As you can imagine, the night smelled of orange blossoms and summer in the countryside – perfect addition to every wedding if you ask us! The Venetian Well catered this family style event and Cake Boutique Corfu provided a beautiful assortment of cakes.
