This clever bride took her passion of architecture and applied it to her wedding day! This NYC Snug Harbor wedding took place in two lovely and unique locations and was accompanied by DIY stationery designed by the bride herself! We love an industrious bride!
Needless to day there is plenty to see from this fabulous day! We want to share every beautiful photo from Idalia Photography with you, so be sure you stop by the full gallery! Plus we have a budget breakdown for you below!
From the Bride: I printed my own invitations, programs, menus and table card numbers. I purchased a high resolution lace graphic and found 2 fonts that I used throughout the whole design suite. The lace was inspired by my dress and kept with the soft romantic theme I wanted.
Since the ceremony and reception were at two different locations, and Snug Harbor is such a big place, I decided to make little maps with directions on the back of the ceremony and reception sites. This really helped guests visualize where they needed to go and it showed them where they could find parking.
The inspiration for our wedding was to keep it soft, romantic and timeless. Since I am an architect, I really wanted the venue to be interesting and beautiful. When we came across Celebrate at Snug Harbor, I fell in love! The 40ft tall ceilings, rich wood finishes and Palladian windows of the Great Hall took my breath away. Not to mention the food is incredible!
We wanted to do a little something extra for our guests after we cut the cake, so our wedding planner put together a beautiful dessert bar. We also used the dessert bar as our wedding favor, giving everyone little to-go bags so none of the goodies would go to waste.
We tried to keep it under $50,000 and I think we succeeded in that. I believe the final total was between $45,000-$50,000 with all of the little stuff you buy last minute. Here is a pretty basic break down:
Venue: approx.$30,000
DJ/Photobooth: $3,100
Photography: $2,600
Videography: approx.$3,750
Hair/Makeup: $350
Dress/Veil/Belt:approx: $2,000
Day of Coordination: $1,870
Dessert Bar: approx.$1,300
Transportation: approx.$2,000
