My something old was my great grandmas pearl necklace. She passed away a few years ago and my great grandpa wasn't able to attend due to health issues so it was like having a piece of both of them with me.
I absolutely love diy projects but for the wedding I didn't want to go crazy and get overwhelmed so I only did a couple. I made all the lace and burlap table runners, wrote all the chalkboard signs, created the Mr. & Mrs. sign for our sweet heart table, and put glitter on all the little glass candle votives.
From Simply by Tamara Nicole: Some of the fun details: guests had mason jars to write their names on and use for their drinks. There was a popcorn bar during the cocktail hour with all kinds of fun flavors and toppings to add. The bride owns a company Smoosh which sells ice cream cookie sandwiches, SO as their favor they had striped bags with cookies.
Not only did it rain like crazy,it was the only crazy rainy day all summer here in Seattle in 2014. It didn't make a difference on the wedding or party, and it stopped just in time for the guests to dance the night away outside under the bistro lights and the stars.
