The wedding meal can be the biggest part of your budget. You want it to be delicious and memorable for everyone. There are plenty of ways to cut catering costs, but the easiest way is to have someone you love volunteer to do it for you. Lucky enough the bride's parents put together the amazing menu and catered the entire event. If you know of someone that loves to cook possibly ask them to cater your wedding. Of course you will foot the bill, but it might be a way to cut costs and serve up some delicious food.
Despite their petite wedding budget they managed to serve beef tenderloin with peppercorn sauce, lamb, couscous, sage-stuffed chicken, an enormous antipasto, crab cakes, fresh fruit parfaits, and chocolate-raspberry cheesecake. In addition, a friend courteously provided 20 gallons of home-brewed beer to help with the costs. Sounds delicious and amazing.
