the vision: old hollywood comes to florence
When two souls as vibrant as Sophia and Cosmo come together, the result is nothing short of cinematic magic. Designed by Tuscan Wedding, their wedding day in the romantic heart of Florence, Italy, was a perfect blend of Old Hollywood glamour, sophisticated elegance, and personal touches that made their celebration unforgettable. From the luxurious venues to the unforgettable New Orleans-style music, every detail was a reflection of their personalities and shared history.
For the reception, the couple chose Palazzo Gondi, a stunning Renaissance palace nestled in the center of Florence. This historic venue, with its soaring ceilings, antique furniture, and luxurious details, perfectly complemented the Old Hollywood glam theme of the day.
As guests arrived, they were greeted with elegant touches—from crystal chandeliers to lush floral arrangements by Violamalva Decor, the venue was transformed into a dreamlike celebration of luxury and love. Guidi Lenci Catering ensured that every detail of the meal was as elegant and refined as the setting, serving exquisite Italian dishes that delighted every guest.
their love story
Sophia and Cosmo’s love story began in the enchanting streets of New Orleans, where they both lived before their wedding day. This rich, lively city set the stage for their bond, and even after relocating to different parts of the world, the magic of the Crescent City never left them.
the welcome party
Before the wedding day itself, the couple kicked off the celebrations with a chic welcome party at Angel Bar. Set in the heart of Florence, the intimate gathering was the perfect way to welcome their family and friends to the city. The atmosphere was electric as guests mingled over cocktails and shared stories. Angel Bar was the ideal spot for Sophia and Cosmo to gather their loved ones, setting the tone for the unforgettable events to come.
getting ready
On the morning of their wedding, the couple prepared for their big day at Hotel Gemma, a luxurious hotel with sweeping views of Florence. The stunning hotel provided the perfect backdrop for their pre-wedding moments, with its chic, contemporary interiors.
the fashion
The bride, Sophia, looked every bit the part of a classic Hollywood starlet as she slipped into her gown, while Cosmo, dressed in his sleek tuxedo, exuded charm and confidence. The bridesmaids looked radiant in champagne-colored silk gowns, adding an element of softness and elegance to the sophisticated color palette.
a church ceremony
For the ceremony, Sophia and Cosmo exchanged their vows in the historic Borgo Santi Apostoli Church, an intimate and breathtaking setting for a couple whose love story is as rich as the city of Florence itself. Father Kramer officiated their ceremony bringing a blend of deep spirituality and personal sentiment. The ethereal atmosphere, with its beautiful stained-glass windows, statues, and intricate frescoes, made their vows even more meaningful.
a second-line entrance
One of the most memorable parts of their day was the arrival at the reception. As an ode to their shared time in New Orleans, Sophia and Cosmo had a live three-piece band follow them from the church to the reception. The vibrant, soulful sounds of the band set the tone for a celebration full of joy and festivity, evoking the charm and energy of the French Quarter in the heart of Florence. Guests couldn’t help but tap their feet and join in the celebration as the band played classic Italian songs.
the cake
The couple ended the night with a traditional Italian millefoglie topped with fresh cream and berries. The bride even put on the finishing touch, sifting the powdered sugar herself.
