Destination weddings aren't always to sandy shores with beach breezes. Sometimes you can journey to the mountains for something equally as lovely.
When Sarah and Phil were planning their wedding they wanted to give all of their out of town family a memorable taste of Montana. With breathtaking mountain views and pine scented meadows, on the Canadian boarder Glacier National Park was perfect for their rustic outdoor event. This nice n' easy national park wedding is sure to leave you wanting more. Check out the full gallery here to see all of the details captured by Cluney Photo.
How gorgeous is that view behind Sarah and Phil's wedding arch?! The grounds of Glacier National Park are ideally suited for outdoor weddings and events in a natural setting. Their ceremony site offers incredible panoramic views of the peaks of the park, and their secluded reception meadow is surrounded by pine trees.
From the Bride:Living in Montana, we knew we wanted an outdoor wedding to take advantage of our beautiful surroundings. We also knew we wanted our wedding to have a handmade and laid-back feel. Our families live out of state, so we choose a venue near Glacier Park Weddings since it was a destination wedding for everyone!
We felt so much love that day, being surrounded by our small group of family and friends. My grandfather married us under an arbor my dad and uncle built. Our bridal party consisted of just our closets friends and my sister, and our daughter was the flower girl.
We love the light and airy feeling the floral creations by Habitat Events gave this whole day. Habitat Events creates bouquets and arrangements that exemplify style, beauty, creativity and design knowledge. Their designers can create elements for all your needs and areas of your event.
From the Bride:We had a few minor mishaps before the ceremony - all my curls fell out immediately after the hairdresser left, we didn't have time to go into the park for pictures beforehand, and our daughter decided she would NOT wear shoes and needed to be carried down the aisle. But everything worked out, and by the end of the night we were married and had a fantastic time!
There is something about a summer evening in the mountains that just begs for a campfire and s'mores. Why should a wedding reception be any different? So bring on the toasted marshmallows and Hersey bars - they are always welcome!
