This Autumn, Folk and Farm styled shoot grew out of Fryeburg’s roots as the annual gathering place for harvest celebrations. Hardy Farm is situated right in the heart of the region that hosts the great Fryeburg Fair, which draws thousands of families and farmers from all over New England every fall. The energy and command of the fair guided the design process with a color palette fitting the autumn season.
There's so much to love about this colorful and original, folk and farm wedding inspiration! See more images in the full gallery here, beautifully photographed by Emilie Inc.
From Pencil Events:We envisioned a young adventurous couple celebrating their wedding in the true Fryeburg Fair homecoming fashion: dust gets brushed off the favorite homemade lawn games, and flowers are arranged in salvaged 'One Pie' cans collected from Thanksgivings' past.A blend of fun games goes perfectly with the atmosphere of a fair, from giant scrabble and jenga to peg games, there's something to keep all of your fun loving guests occupied. If you're looking for a cute favor idea, gather together a group of your favorite love quotes and put them in frames, and voila!
Seriously steal worthy wedding idea- Collect a bunch of frames and print out cute sayings/quotes, and hand them out as wedding favors. Guests will have a cute decor item for your home, and will always think of you when they pass by it.
No pun intended, but we are nuts for this nut bar! Place a variety of nuts in bowls and allow guests to mix and match nuts for a customized bag of nuts. We have to say that we also love how they labeled each nut bowl with a wood chip and then hand wrote what each nut was. Seriously clever ... right?
Are you ready for another steal worthy wedding idea? We always adore the idea of a bar cart anywhere, especially at your wedding. Fill it up with local beers, sodas, juices, even water. Great idea ... right?
Have a Poutine Bar:Hearty poutine is shared on the family’s beloved mismatched plate collection, and the whole shindig is set to the tunes of epic modern folk artists. “A heart of gold and arms to fall into”—a line from a classic Brandi Carlile favorite—became the guiding line that appears in the beautiful letterpress invitation suite and shaped the entirety of this shoot styled and shot during peak leaf season the week of the famous fair.
A bit more info about this New England Wedding Venue-
The Barn at Hardy Farm is a new wedding and event venue in the White Mountains of Maine. Their restored 18th Century Farmhouse dates back to the days when George Washington was a young man. Last year they completed a full restoration of the barn, which now provides the perfect backdrop for creating any style of wedding.
