Never Seen A Hacienda Wedding? You Are Seriously Missing Out

Never Seen A Hacienda Wedding? You Are Seriously Missing Out

The timeless appeal of old-world Spain inspired designers Regina and Krista of Crosby + Jon Design to create an authentic Hacienda wedding for Jennifer and Diego. Never seen a hacienda wedding? You are seriously missing out, or you were, until now that is! With a private Spanish-style estate as the venue, authentic architectural elements of wood, iron and colorful tile were a natural and fitting base to the design.

There are a ton of unique elements to this wedding, not the least of which include their custom wedding emblem and a burro carrying flowers! We're also in love with the reception layout, full of beautiful details from Archive Rentals. See so much more of this wedding in the full gallery, photographed by Heather East.

Welcome Your Guests With Mariachi And Sangria

From the vendors: Guests were greeted by a mariachi band and were welcomed in the garden with a sangria bar and a sweet donkey pulling a cart filled with blooms from JL Designs. For the ceremony, friends and family filled an intimate courtyard, tiled in Saltillo tiles and surrounded by old-growth trees. Brass candelabras and candlesticks were filled with a mix of white candles and fuchsia blooms. Terracotta pots and stone urns overflowing with natural botanicals were scattered around the courtyard.

Bright Fruits Are A Great Way To Add Fun Color

With the I-do’s complete, guests made their way to a champagne and tapas bar. A large ladder shelf served as a rustic escort card display, adorned with colorful garden roses, peonies and tropical fruits. Papayas, mangos and limes added a burst of color in vintage fruit crates completing the display. Later, guests were seated at long, dark wood tables, lit by overhead café lights and intimate candlelight. Cobalt goblets provided a pop of Spanish blue against brass flatware, chargers and goblets; all from Archive Rentals.

A Paella Setup Has Never Looked So Pretty

Each female guests’ chair was draped with a fringed Spanish shawls, pairing perfectly with the vintage lace table runners. For the perfect finishing touch to the table, Crosby + Jon used hand-painted Spanish tile as place cards. An outdoor cocina was setup beneath wood pergolas where the chef prepared paella in large traditional pans. Hanging scales with florals and tall wire cloches filled with fresh limes added to the colorful spread of peppers and artichokes.

A Sparkler In One Hand, A Maraca In The Other

Guests were treated to a delicious three-tiered buttercream cake from Sweet and Saucy. JL Designs topped the minimal cake design with vibrant pink dahlias, peonies and garden roses. Layered crochet linens atop a rustic wood cake table made for a simple but stunning cake table. The celebration continued with guests dancing, cocktails in hand, to the fiesta-infused beats from the DJ. For a send off, guests reveled with sparklers and maracas… the perfect end to this beautiful Spanish night.
