Love Story Vignettes

From Simone Anne Photography: Kristine and Eric created a little vignette of their first date. They met at Starbucks and saw a movie - Kristine has the cutest little Ampersand cups from Starbucks and she paired these with a framed copy of the ticket from their first movie date.

They also had a vignette of their proposal. Eric really went all out when he proposed. He knows Kristine likes cute details and really appreciates them, so when he got down on one knee, he had a full set up, complete with a cute picnic, beautiful roses, and more.

A Love Bench

From the Bride: Our guestbook was a bench that Eric's best man made for us and it will be in our family forever instead of gathering dust on a bookshelf. So cool!

Read on to see how much this love & marriage wedding cost. Please note that costs change as the years go by, and prices are subject to change. This is just one couple’s breakdown to give you a rough estimate on how much a wedding like this may cost you.

We ended up spending around 25K and I wouldn't have changed it for the world.
Wedding Advice:
If you decide on a destination wedding, be prepared. Lodi is located over two hours from home, which doesn't seem very far, until you're driving it every week. I considered hiring local vendors and bringing them with me to Lodi but quickly realized that it was an expense that I was not willing to pay. Communication with vendors was key since I was not a local bride. Everything worked out but if time is not on your side, I'd recommend getting married close to home!
Invest in items you can reuse or resell. We have so many mementos from our day. Our guestbook is a bench that Eric's best man made for us and it will be in our family forever instead of gathering dust on a bookshelf. So cool! And if you invest in quality items you can resell them to other brides. We made back over $2,000 just by having an open house style weekend after the wedding.
Get creative. One of the biggest areas we saved money was with our florals. We hired an amazing small town florist and saved a ton in comparison to florists near our venue. My mom is a plant guru and took on the task of caring for our centerpieces for months before our wedding. We scored a great deal on live white hydrangeas and put them into these big mercury bowls I found at Kohl's for $3.00 each after the holidays.
Save where you can. I made a conscious effort to bargain, cut deals, haggle, compromise and budget during every single decision. It is an exhausting process but it is well worth it in the end. Compromise is hard but try and make sure you're getting something you need and something you'll settle for.
