Clean and crisp and oh so chic, desert weddings are one of our favorites, perhaps it appeals to our minimalist nature. However, Jamie and Louis's navy, gold and pink desert wedding is anything but minimal, just wait until you see their breathtaking reception!
This couple knew what they wanted and made it happen for their big day. From a great venue with stellar food to fabulous flowers that gave the whole day a heavenly scent, you can see it all in the full gallery here, thanks to Amy & Jordan Photography.
From Amy & Jordan Photography: For these two doctors, it had to be a beautiful desert wedding at the desert Sanctuary on Camelback. The bride knew she wanted a blush and navy color scheme, with pops of bright pinks and yellow. The girls carried opulent white and blush peonies and the guys wore navy. It all looked like perfection against the soft muted tones of the desert landscape around them!
From the Bride: I would recommend making sure you eat. We had a church wedding which was early in the afternoon, so I had to start getting ready at 9am. I was too excited to eat very much, but after the ceremony I realized I was starving!
Also, I really loved our first look. I think the photos from that time are my most favorite. It really helped settle our nerves before heading to the church.
I wanted a great party for our friends and family. I invested the majority of our budget on the reception. I chose a venue known for its great food and view, so that was 50% of my budget. I went with a more simple cake, which was included in our catering at the venue. I also wanted great flowers, so that ended up being around 15% of our budget. It was worth it, it smelled so good when you walked into our reception.
