Understated luxe is the name of the game for this photoshoot and it's very now. The bride's look, or should we say looks (because there are many) is fashionable and put together without looking like she's trying too hard. Navy and white make for a refreshing new take on the all-neutral wedding color palette that's become such a go-to for couples and wedding designers alike. All in all, this photoshoot is a great template for how to style and plan a timeless wedding.
Kept Weddings with Laura was inspired by a luxury watch brand when they were creating this wedding design. The key elements that really made it pop for us are the dark matching linens and chargers and the all-white florals (no greenery) by Bud Floral Design. This classic manorhouse venue, Rockbeare Manor, also plays into the timeless feel of the entire shoot. Inspired by an iconic luxury watch brand, the shoot combines masculinity and femininity with frosty whites, deep blues, and lustrous silvers. Keeping the aesthetic crisp like a winter's day, couples can visualize why winter should not be overlooked as a season for their wedding. Rockbeare Manor created the perfect backdrop for this shoot. Its grand features and soft interiors helped to refine the styling throughout.
In the morning the bride wore a Lady in Bianca satin robe in the bridal suite before putting on her Becci Boos satin shoes and changing into an elegant Nicola Anne Bridal gown with a detachable A-line skirt that shimmered in the low-lying winter sun.
The bridal look was kept opulent with editorial-style makeup and Hollywood waves and accessorized with a bespoke hand-crafted crown and earrings by Claire Austin England.
Perspex and glass dĆ©cor were predominantly used through the styling to help reflect light and create the appearance of 'iceā, whereas silver crystals were used carefully to capture the eye and give the illusion of frost. The flowers were kept white to subtly add detail and balance out the deep blue and lustrous silvers used on the cake and tablescape.
The table was complete with warm candles and a laid menu which was slotted into a pocket napkin and wrapped with a bespoke ribbon design to represent luxury packaging and double up as a place card for guests.
Into the evening, the bride's hair was re-styled into a modern ponytail and she switched into a seductive Audrey Hepburn-inspired silhouette with a red lip for a pop to go with the iconic Aston Martin DB5 which poses beautifully against the Manor house.
To recreate this look it is important for the attire to be kept classic and the backdrop to be neutral. The deep blues should be used to create a statement but complemented with white florals that are absent from foliage to soften the look. Silver tones and perspex or glass decor should complete the look with careful placement that helps to maximize the light.
