If you've never been to the historic Whitehall Estate in Northern Virginia then you’re in for a treat! Suzy and Ian’s elegant wedding turned out picture perfect and the stunning Estate made for one incredible backdrop for their heartwarming I dos.
The bride looked gorgeous in her two piece gown from Watters and we're especially smitten over her oh so chic Toms shoes (comfort first!). Be sure to scroll through the full gallery for more stylish details from Emily Sacra Photography and don't miss the brides budget breakdown below for an idea of what a wedding like this may cost you.
From Emily Sacra Photography: Ian & Suzy's elegant wedding at Whitehall Estate was nothing short of magnificent. It was truly a fairytale wedding day! The bride chose a dreamy tulle skirt and stunning beaded corset combination by Watters, while the groom and his men wore classic blue suits. Bridesmaids wore mismatched dresses in various shades of blush, champagne, and and gold.
Lush greenery adorned the columns at the ceremony site, framing the couple as they said their vows. Upon entering the grand ballroom, you were immediately enamored by the towering floral centerpieces, and the elegant table settings. Lit candles on every table made for a romantic mood once the sun set, and the air was filled with the sweet smell of roses. From the first exciting moments of the day, to the bride & groom running through a sparkler exit comprised of family and friends, this wedding was one filled with many personal touches and lavish details.
From the bride: I would tell future brides to do what you want and don't listen to everyone!! When I told people I was wearing Tom's shoes, they gave me a funny look and said "really???" No one could tell what shoes I was wearing, I didn't spend a fortune on my shoes, and I was comfortable the whole night. People also told me not to spend a lot of money on flowers as most guests wouldn't even notice them and it would be a big waste of money. I ended up spending a lot on our flowers and I am glad I did because I remembered them (and we did get a lot of compliments on them!) and thought they were beautiful.
