This bride had her heart set on a morning brunch garden wedding complete with a coffee bar and a bacon bar. Yes we said a bacon bar! And we all know everything is better with bacon. The coffee may have been a must have for a 10 am ceremony but it looks like it was completely worth it, the day was beautiful!
If you're a breakfast food fan and have a love of fun then this wedding is sure to leave you with lots of inspiration and a smile on your face. Click here to dig in to all the images in the full gallery, photographed by the talented Nikki Closser Photography.
When I first met with the super sweet (and smart) Dr. Elba (!) and she said she wanted a garden brunch wedding, I fell in love! What a fun and unique idea, something different. We had so much fun planning fun things for her guests around the brunch idea. We brought in an espresso cart, because if we wanted guests to be there for a 10:00 AM ceremony, we needed to provide some caffeine. We had some custom options for the espresso, including a "Cortado" for a nod to Elba's heritage. We dressed up the drinks with custom drink stirrers using their monogram (done by Dahlia Press), as well as stamped coffee sleeves with "enjoy" and "cheers" .
After the lovely ceremony, guests were invited into the "Garden Room". As they entered, they found their escort envelopes on a large moss covered frame, with floral washi tape on the back. We also played up the brunch menu with some amazing ideas! Our "bacon bar" was a HIT! Chocolate covered bacon, honey jalapeno bacon, and alder smoked bacon displayed in a fun way was thoroughly enjoyed. We also had a fun waffle bar, with a sign saying "I love you a Waffle lot". Each brunch station was personalize with fun signage and unique choices. Brunch food is SO good! To enhance that we had a Mimosa bar with fun little drink stirrers and flags, as well as a sign. All of the signs were done in calligraphy by Mint Afternoon, on fun vintage chalkboards from Vintage Ambiance.
When Elba tasted her cake, she did a little dance and Nikki Closser caught it on camera, so cute! She had no idea how we were going to display the escort cards, it was my surprise to her! So when we brought them into the reception space for the "grand reveal" before we let guests in, she was in awe and just loved it all! They incorporated some fun salsa music into the mix, and it was so fun to see everyone that traveled from other countries cut a rug in the middle of the day, thanks to Integral DJ's. Elba and Dustin were just the sweetest couple ever, and I was SO lucky to be a part of their lovely vintage garden brunch!
