So long stuffy weddings, these days couples just want to have fun! And why not?! Life's so serious, and let's face it, so is love most of the time, so the one day you should really get to enjoy yourself and celebrate wholeheartedly should be your wedding day. That's exactly the mentality that this team wanted to showcase in this epic shoot. Bright colors, plenty of sparkle, vintage cars, and a little bit of leather–this is what weddings look like now.
Isabloom Floral Design was the visionary behind this shoot, and of course, they also created these incredible floral arrangements. They teamed up with Salt and Scent Events and brought their favorite pros together to make some wedding magic like Mark Horton Photos who took these vibrant, moody photos. Elmore Court was the perfect venue for this shoot, the grand estate evokes the romance of the past and was a lovely contrast to the modern wedding design. Pink & Purple Wedding With Tropical Disco Vibes In Rhode Island
We wanted to create something unique for the ‘anti-bride’ while keeping things very much luxe. The magnificent Elmore Court was the perfect venue; always known as ‘The Party House’ to the Guise family it oozes fun and character. Isabelle (Isabloom Floral Design) and Rosie (RAW Bridal Makeup) selected some of their favorite luxe South West wedding suppliers, who they knew could create this vision, and brought them all together in the most beautiful venue of Elmore Court, a place where they both love to work with their couples. Months and months of planning came together on a beautiful winter's day and some rock and roll magic happened.
The style and color palette were designed around the florals which took center stage. The Pantone color of the year Viva Magenta was used as the base color complimented with reds and neutrals, and doesn’t it look epic?! We love seeing couples showcase their personality in the wedding design; gone are the days where they felt they had to conform to age-old traditions. This shoot embraces individuality and brings the party vibe that so many modern couples demand. The ceremony was romantic, yet edgy and hints of disco balls at the venue entrance with a Let’s Party sign gave a sneak peek of what was planned later in the day.
Fashion was a huge part of the shoot to capture the vision. We selected French designer Rime Arodaky from The Mews Bridal as we fell in love with her relaxed fashion-forward designs. We wanted our bride to feel effortlessly beautiful and sexy while being comfortable. The hair and makeup complimented the vibe perfectly with a simplistic approach using beautifully luxurious products. The artists changed it up for the ‘evening’ with hair down and a red lip; party time!
The celebrant-led ceremony took place in The Hall framed by a deconstructed arch and marble angels, with the winter sun beaming through the huge stained-glass window.
The Gillyflower, a purpose-built party space made from mud, played host to the divine table-scape and show-stopping cake. The party vibes were ramped up a notch with more disco balls, textured chargers, waterfall florals, and a fabric banner hung above the central table.
It's pretty hard to be a confetti shower exit, but add in a vintage white convertible and some leather jackets and we're in! Not only does the confetti help make everything more fun, but we love how it really brings the color palette from the wedding outside and into these final shorts of the happy couple–10/10 recommend!
