A tropical Puerto Vallarta wedding that was one “monstera” of a party
The bride of this incredible destination wedding always knew she wanted a beach wedding. Both the bride and groom love to travel with friends and family and usually do so yearly, so it just made sense to have a destination wedding with all of their closest friends and family. Their two non-negotiables were having Bree Smith Photography as the photographer and finding the bride's dream dress. After taking countless family photos for the couple over the years, Bree Smith was the perfect person to capture wedding photos that were light, airy, and full of "bridal glow." Keep scrolling to see how this joyful day came together at Hyatt Ziva Puerto Vallarta, planned with the help of KI Weddings.
Classy tropical invitation suite
Palm trees set the tropical tone on an otherwise neutral wedding invitation suite.
2-in-1 wedding style
The bride immediately cried when she put on her wedding dress at a & bé Bridal Shop Dallas. Eva Lendel was absolutely perfect, including the overskirt that was easily removed to create a second reception look.
Black, white, and green all over
From the moment she started planning, the bride knew she wanted a simple black and white color palette with foliage that honored Puerto Vallarta. Her bridesmaids honored this in timeless black bridesmaid dresses and bouquets set in a bed of tropical fronds and leaves.
The groom wore white
The groom complemented his groomsmen in black suits by donning an off-white suit jacket from GQ Fashion.
Ceremony style: Elevated beachy vibes
Rattan rugs made up the aisle that led to a monstera and white rose installation on the beach at Hyatt Ziva Puerto Vallarta. White chairs blended into the off-white sand, while sheer white draping completed the beachy vibe.

Reception style that featured the beach
An all-white reception style allowed for the deep greens of the tropical trees and the bright blue of the ocean to stand out. Rattan lights hung across the space, creating an ethereal glow as the sun set.
Simple wedding cake style
The bride and groom cut into a textured two-tier cake topped with their names and two classic white roses.
