October was in full bloom for Nicole and David’s wedding, as the changing leaves offered a multi-colored backdrop for their modern take on a classic black and white wedding. This celebration took place at The Ridge in Asheville, North Carolina, which boasted European-inspired architecture as well as spectacular views of the mountains. Bride, Nicole, looked like an Old Hollywood actress in her chic feathered white getting ready robe. Her flouncy robe, paired with cute mini dress and fuzzy slippers is the perfect fit for a luxurious wedding morning shoot!
Nicole’s custom silk gown by Dany Tabet was complete with a tulle overskirt and matching detached silk sleeves, creating an elegant and timeless vibe! She tied her look together with a sparkling crystal sash and headband that highlighted bright and clean hair and makeup by Amy Rose and blush asheville.
You'll have to read to the end to see how her gowns layered were transformed to create a "new" dress for the dance floor!
Groom, David, looked very modern and dapper in his custom-lined tux paired with sleek loafers.
From the girls' silky getting ready pajamas to their gorgeous mix and match bridesmaid dresses, the ladies looked stunning in a dark and moody palette of black. Groomsmen were dressed to the nines to match, in classic tuxedos.
When deciding where to have your ceremony, the changing weather or reception policies may require a tent! For this couple, the rich fall colors of Asheville were not lost by opting for a tented ceremony. The covered ceremony was set overlooking the hillside, where trees had begun to turn dramatic shades of yellow, orange, and red.
Flower petals were scattered along the aisle and were joined by fallen leaves. The couple stood beneath an angelic arch made of baby’s breath, white roses, and orchids for their “I do’s”.

A Dress Inspired This Dusty Pink And Blue North Carolina Wedding
"Nicole and David remember first meeting at a workshop for their jobs in Charlotte, North Carolina. After their first conversation, the pair knew there was an instant spark, as David whispered to Nicole, “Where have you been?” For the next year, Nicole traveled to Charlotte, often working alongside David. After dating long-distance for about a year, Nicole decided to move to North Carolina to embark on a new chapter together. The couple was engaged on a trip to Georgia, where David planned out an entire day together. He proposed at a nearby park beneath the beautiful weeping willow trees."
After the ceremony, guests were moved inside for a bright and inviting indoor reception. Incredibly ornate crystal chandeliers hung throughout the space as the couple dined at their head table, set in front of dramatic wooden doors. Modern black and white decor by Bobby Marks Designs was the focal point, where tables included minimalist displays of white single-stem roses set alongside tea lights and floating candles.
This luxurious textured wedding cake and dessert table treats were created by Karen Donatelli Cake Designs.
Many brides love changing into a second dress for their reception - but what about transforming the dress they already have on! Nicole did just that by simply removing her Dany Tabet gown overskirt to reveal a fitted silhouette with the addition of an oversized bow in the back. This was such a chic way to have a totally new look to dance along to tunes by The Royal Suits.
