"Jenna and Tom enjoyed two years of platonic friendship during their undergrad, when one day, Tom professed his love for Jenna. She gave the proposition a full week’s worth of internal debate. Although Jenna was afraid this could jeopardize their friendship, she gave Tom the green light. After graduation, they made the move to New York. As Tom’s birthday approached, he insisted he plan a day for them to enjoy. While this seemed like an odd request for his own birthday, Jenna agreed. That morning they enjoyed a swanky brunch, where Tom drank numerous margaritas to cool his nerves, led Jenna on a walk along the water, and proposed in front of the Manhattan Bridge."
