A love of travel and a desire to honor international heritage infused this stunning and modern Napa Valley wedding. While the bride is Dutch and the groom is Greek, the couple met in Ohio of all places! The blending of their cultures and chic style resulted in an iconic day that celebrated the natural beauty of their Californian venue.

Bold, blue bridesmaid dresses
Bride, Melany, and her bridesmaids were a vision of bold color! A huge inspiration for the design of the day was Delft Blue design, an homage to the quintessential pottery of the bride's Dutch heritage. To match the patterned palette, the bridal party stunned in mismatched dresses in varying hues of blue paired with anemone bouquets.
First look at an iconically Napa venue
When searching for a Napa Valley wedding venue, it was important to Melany and Ted to find an outdoor space the "felt" like Napa. Carneros Resort and Spa offered entirely that, with a sweeping vineyard, mountain views, and relaxed atmosphere. The beauty at Carneros with blooming flowers and a stone courtyard was the perfect backdrop for their wedding and a romantic first look!

Hydrangea cloud ceremony backdrop
The lush and modern white floral installation expertly created by Susan at Marion Moss Floral Design featured a cloud-like effect for a modern ceremony backdrop. The couple describes themselves as unconventional and these unique florals perfectly complemented their personalities. The Hilltop at Carneros was a picturesque scene for these stylish lovebirds to say their "I do's" in front of friends and family who traveled from all over the world to witness their love.
Californian golden hour with a jean jacket
Golden hour in the Napa Valley is a breathtaking scene! The couple's talented photographer, Ryan Greenleaf, captured their warm and emotion-driven portraits as the sun set over vineyards and hills.
The bride slipped into a cool, bedazzled jean jacket to kick off the fun reception festivities!

Modern Delft Blue reception tablescapes
Curated by Grace + White brought together Melany and Ted's vision of an international yet modern and American style wedding day, with fun and traditional touches. The iconic Delft Blue motifs were used as a base for their reception design, woven throughout the space in table linens from BBJ La Tavola and vases adorning the bar and shelves.
To add a touch of modern edge, black flatware, chargers, and chairs as well as gold elements juxtaposed the blue decor and added to the wine country vibes; chic rentals were provided by Bright Event Rentals. The monochrome design paired beautifully with the unique anemone centerpieces by Marion Moss Floral Design.
Dancing & desserts to end the night
The newlyweds and their guests danced the night away to the high energy tunes of Lucky Devils Band! But everyone needs a sweet treat to end any wedding night right; the scrumptious in-house catering by Carneros Resort and Spa offered an array of handheld dessert options. We loved the bride and groom's minimalist and chic textured wedding cake!
