Bride, Tanya, looked absolutely stunning in a dazzling pearl Pronovias wedding gown with a lengthy veil. We loved the dozens of individual pearl details. Her soft beach wavy hair and soft glam makeup by HVH Makeup & Hair brought a bright and airy feel to her bridal look!
Both the bride's and groom's attire popped with pastel florals in desert hues, designed by Carte Blanche Design.
Andaz Scottsdale provided a lush, cacti-filled outdoor area for the couple's dreamy desert ceremony! One of the bride’s favorite details was the pink bougainvillea hanging from string lights over the ceremony & dinner area. Potted saguaro and prickly pear cactus were displayed at the end of the aisle, alongside the olive green seating chart and menus by Caroline Haines Creative.
“It was 2014 and I had finally mustered up the courage to get on Tinder. The idea of a blind date was terrifying, but I was jealous of my friends’ hilarious stories (or nightmares) and I wanted to play too. I selectively swiped right and ultimately gave one guy my number. We agreed to dinner on a Wednesday night, and I selfishly picked a tequila bar within walking distance from my apartment. To break the ice, we took tequila shots with cinnamon and orange instead of salt and lime (a must try). My fears of forcing small talk or awkward silence quickly dissipated. We had immediate chemistry, and conversation flowed naturally. Dinner turned into a Mario Kart marathon at a dive bar, where I didn’t win a single game. He walked me home that night and after closing the door, I said, “oh crap,” and thought to myself… I think I just met my husband. And here we are!” - Bride, Tanya on meeting her husband Brandon
Romantic Blush Wedding With A Sense Of Humor In The Arizona Desert
Scottsdale, Arizona Modern Wedding Venue – The Clayton On The Park
This Couple Created A Venue From The Ground Up In The Arizona Desert
Olive green is the perfect complementary color for a cacti-filled cocktail hour! Modern signage by Caroline Haines Creative complemented the dreamy tones and tasty hors d'oeuvres of the desert wedding venue. Rentals for the cocktail hour and reception decor were provided by Bright Event Rentals, Dang Fine Rentals, and Creative Coverings.
We are obsessed with this modern, neon-lit reception backdrop! The ‘Instagram moment’ photo backdrop display included a cane sofa in front of a large arch painted Pantone's "Canyon Clay" and dressed up with floral, cactus, and a ‘pardon my french’ neon sign from Mystic Lites – a nod to the couple’s married name.
“I wanted to get married in Scottsdale, Arizona long before I met Brandon, but ironically, it also happens to be the one place our families overlap. I grew up in the Twin Cities, Minnesota and Brandon in southern New Mexico, but both of our families spend a lot of time in Scottsdale. Thankfully our location of choice had an endless supply of stunning venues. We settled on Andaz Scottsdale Resort & Bungalows for several reasons. First, many of our guests would be traveling in from out of state so we wanted a venue that was an easy commute from the airport. It was important to us to maximize time with our family and friends, so we wanted all of our events and accommodations to be on property. The Andaz has a secluded area with a group of bungalows and a private pool that we were able to reserve for our guests. Lastly, Andaz exhibits the upscale, modern, desert oasis vibe we love.” - Bride, Tanya
Under the desert sunset and pink floral vines, Brandon and Tanya welcomed guests to a chic, modern reception full of wood-based decor, styled by Imoni Events. The linen-draped table settings showcased a desert palette including terracotta colored table numbers and petite floral and cacti centerpieces from Carte Blanche Design, accompanied by taper candles.
"It was the perfect desert wedding, and I’m so thankful for my wedding planner Hannah and the Imoni Events team for making my vision a reality!" - Bride, Tanya
The couple and their guests danced the night away to music provided by Groove Mobile DJs.
