Bri and Dane both met while traveling — but to different places! Bri was in London for a work trip, browsing Bumble to see if she could meet people in the city. She didn’t realize that her location was still set to her home in Jacksonville, where Dane was visiting for a game. The two hit it off instantly, but by the time Bri returned to Jacksonville, Dane had gone back to St. Louis. They kept in contact, and after a month of back and forth, Bri flew to St. Louis to meet Dane. Three years later, with the help of Bri's best friends, Dane proposed under a stunning atmosphere of Christmas lights.
For her wedding, Bri wore a sleek gown by Essense of Australia with a long train and striking opera gloves, completed with hair and makeup by Studio Bride and Lia Croke. For a timeless and universally flattering dress option, her bridesmaids wore black dresses in a variety of styles. Pops of color in bright pink and classic red were incorporated into the bouquets by Malia Floral Design, as well as the boutonnieres, and continued all the way through both the ceremony and reception, as well.
For their St. Augustine wedding, Bri and Dane had a vision of a classic black and white wedding with pops of bold magenta flowers. The Lightner Museum, with its stately gardens and stone statues, served as the perfect backdrop for their moody, contemporary affair planned with the help of Coastal Celebrations and captured on camera by We Are the Bowsers.
Guests were greeted at the ceremony with a newspaper-style program featuring a tribute to all of the married friends who inspired the couple. This was the perfect format to make their program a keepsake while allowing the couple to be creatively personal with their choices.
The entrance to the reception included a seven-foot portrait of the couple next to a contemporary, mirrored seating chart. String lighting brought the perfect warm glow to the black and white set-up.
The newlyweds and their guests dined among vibrant florals and flickering candles. But the floor really lit up afterward, and everyone danced their hearts while enjoying pizza and late-night snacks courtesy of Purple Olive. The night wouldn't have been complete, however, without the stunning three-tier wedding cake featuring bright red and pink florals and the cutest fondant dog tucked to the side.
