Joy and color were the foundation of this stunning queer wedding inspiration! Dreamt up by wedding coach Carrie-Ann Kloda (The Wedding Coach), photographer Pam Kay, and florist/designer Sarah Burnell of Flourish & Knot, this editorial had more than a few boxes to check. They collaboratively wanted to create a sustainable shoot, represent authentic queer love, and design an editorial that was modern without being overly avant-garde. In short, the amazing team wanted to create a genuine wedding inspiration that you and your partner could replicate in a real way (without just being pretty Pinterest pictures)!

"Too often, we hear that queer weddings are different, or we’re asked if queer couples even want to have a wedding. The answer is a clear and resounding YES - everyone gets to have whatever kind of wedding they want." - Flourish & Knot
When choosing attire at an LGBTQ+ couple, it can be a challenge to find an outfit that makes you feel truly comfortable and authentic. It can also be a big choice whether you'd like to take a more traditional fashion approach or step more out of the box! With all this in mind, Yasmine Wasfy of Boutique Lustre kept both marriers in white yet modern attire.
While Talia wore one of Lustre’s beloved two-piece bridal gowns, Yasmine created a custom jumpsuit for Charlie, who is nonbinary. A jumpsuit can be just the right medium for a gender euphoric style, blending the masculine and feminine.
We're obsessed by the glam created by Narges Sheed and Oksana Senkevich; Charlie's floral "barrette" along their hair part was such a modern and chic touch that tied into the overall floral design by Flourish & Knot!
This couple was captured at the bright Luma Lofts. Nestled in the heart of Saint-Henri, Luma Lofts is a picturesque photo studio and intimate event rental space that exudes an abundance of natural light. With its light-colored floors and white walls, it serves as a blank canvas, allowing the extraordinary, colorful work of talented vendors to shine brightly!
Favoring one big “wow” moment including lots of little floral pieces, Sarah and the Flourish & Knot team created the ceremony installation with a gradient mix of color, incorporating textural fillers and a bevy of carnations. This installation was created without floral foam, in 100% reusable mechanics, and all of the textural fillers were dried to repurpose into the next installation, making it a much more sustainable choice!

Even the couple's rings were fabulously vibrant! These gemstone rings are from Loft Bijoux.
"The models are a real couple, and Carrie-Ann, The Wedding Coach, looked after them throughout the process, making sure they felt comfortable with the options for attire, and stepping in when necessary to make sure they were comfortable with how they were being portrayed. She is very comfortable with the fact that her work is almost never visible - being behind the scenes, representing her clients, and being the motor and manager of the event is her zone of genius."
The reception table design was centered around bright and vibrant floral palette by Flourish & Knot, coupled with more neutral choices in the linens and decor to create contrast and a feeling of fresh modernity. Designer and florist Sarah Burnell kept things fun and youthful with iridescent accents and a mix of textures in the accessories. The table florals were kept chic, with a mono-botanical look that moved from tone to tone across the tablescape.
In keeping with their sustainable vision, even the stunning glassware and dishes from Luma Lofts were used for the team to eat from!
We're obsessed by this vision of lavender and pastel florals! The iridescent monogramed drink toppers and napkin rings were just a couple of the amazing pieces of this tablescape, including decor and rentals from Flourish & Knot, Locations Chic, Mademoiselle D Design, and The Maple Den.
