Shaun and Amanda met through a mutual friend in San Luis Obispo. They hit it off immediately, but Amanda was living in LA at the time, while Shaun had just moved to SLO to begin his master’s program. They were able to stay in touch and ultimately began dating the following year. Shaun proposed to Amanda on a hike in the Santa Monica Mountains. Unaware of what the day had in store, Amanda suggested a different hike than the one Shaun had planned. He went along with it and found the perfect moment while they took a break in a beautiful canyon. They celebrated with brunch and the addition of both of their families, who awaited them at their home when they returned. The Club at Pasadera offered its rich history, evoked by Spanish Mission-style architecture and captivating courtyards. The venue overlooked the northern slopes of the Santa Lucia Mountains, as cypress and oak trees, as well as native grasses, encompassed the grounds.
Amanda wore an effortless crepe gown by Alexandra Grecco, with cap sleeves, slit detail, and subtle touches of three-dimensional florals along the mesh back. Creating an overall soft look, Shaun wore a medium blue suit, as his groomsmen wore matching looks, and bridesmaids were dressed in sage green satin gowns.
Amanda and Shaun stood between two bright floral pillars by Seascape Flowers for their ceremony as magenta roses and sherbert-colored dahlias took center stage to the floral-lined aisle. Standing as the main backdrop for their ceremony was a large cypress tree.
Dining outdoors was essential for the couple’s reception, as tables and decor were monochromatic in a light stone-washed color. Accenting the gentle neutrals were pink and orange bouquets with wild moments of greenery, further enhanced by the blooming roses of the property. Each place setting included a wildflower-printed napkin as well as a natural fiber placemat.
