What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas...except for this crazy fun wedding that we just had to share! Spoiler alert: Elvis didn't marry them. However, there are oh so many gorgeous details, so get ready to snatch some ideas for your own big day! When Pigs Fly Events did a phenomenal job creating an atmosphere that was both stunning and fun.
Instead of a specific color palette or theme the day was centered around reflecting the newlyweds relationship. Prepare your eyes for all the bright pops of color and personality from this modern Vegas wedding found in the full gallery here, captured by Gideon Photography.
I've known Allison for most of her life. Her sister was a bridesmaid in my own wedding and we've all been great family friends for years. So, when she asked us to plan her wedding to Keaton we were beyond thrilled. The couple, high school sweethearts, were fast approaching their ten year anniversary. We knew we had to incorporate tons of personal details into their wedding because it's so incredibly special to work with a couple who has that much romantic history and long-lasting love for one another. The couple married at Red Rock Country Club in Las Vegas. They wanted to keep the atmosphere of the wedding youthful, fun, whimsical, and beautiful. We worked closely with Catherine and Layers of Lovely to turn the spaces into magical experiences.
For the ceremony, we asked Layers of Lovely to build our vision of a custom arbor made out of rustic white washed pallets. We hung a colorful chandelier behind the couple. Beer bottles, an ode to Keaton's love for brewing, lined the aisle and we scattered wine corks to represent Allison. Allison's bouquet was one of my favorite bouquets ever! It held heart shaped sugar cubes for two reasons - 1) to symbolize a sweet marriage and 2) because Keaton has a major sweet tooth! For a unity ceremony, they watered an orange tree. Guests held burlap bags filled with barley to toss as the couple passed by as husband and wife. After their nuptials, they sped away in a golf cart we decorated with a newlyweds sign, vintage cans, and florals.
The guests then entered into a "Hollywood" themed cocktail hour. The couple's romance blossomed at Hollywood video where Allison worked during high school. Keaton came in frequently to peruse the videos (and his dream woman)! We loved this story and wanted guests to be apart of the romance. Instead of a literal "Hollywood" theme, we kept it fun and whimsical. Along with the printwork by Paper and Home, we made a "Hollywood" themed video telling their love story. We included this in the package with their invitation. Guests watched the DVD and learned their love story. Our handmade bows cut from film topped the DVD. We included a Las Vegas chip to get everyone excited for the big event. Inside the cocktail hour, Layers of Lovely created gorgeous paper flowers that popped from every edge of the room. We brought in 12 ft Hollywood posters, vintage movie chairs, and had an old movie playing from a projector. Both Allison and Keaton are dental students so we thought it would be fun to use miniature chattering teeth as escort cards. The teeth held "movie" ticket passes to get into the reception.

Guests then entered into the reception room which was filled with modern touches, sleek laser cut silver linens and custom made napkins in bright pops of orange and hot pink. The highlight of the room was the liquid filled dance floor that oozed and changed colors as guests danced the night away. A photo booth, cigar roller, and go-go box completed the party. Guests had so much fun that the last call kept being extended. Keaton's cold, homemade brew was a huge hit as guests quenched their thirst after a big night of dancing. It was a super fun party! We were so thankful to be included in their big day!
