Romantic Victorian Wedding: Lace Meets Modern Geometric Design

Chloe and Simon's elegant wedding invitation design

While there really is nothing more romantic than lace, combine this feminine fabric with masculine geometric design elements, and the result is the perfect marriage of vintage classic and modern chic. The backdrop for the day was a historic private mansion in downtown Toronto built in 1881. The grandness of this Victorian setting highlighted the romantic modern details with ease and grace. The magnificently restored mansion, boasting original wood trim, classic flooring, and elegant molding was furnished with a twelve-foot long dining table and accompanying geometrically designed chairs.

I felt very fortunate to have the opportunity to style such a stunning venue (could the geometric wallpaper be any more fitting!) and to work with such talented people. The juxtaposition of lace and angles demonstrates that contrasting elements can make an exquisite partnership. The day was full of laughter, love, and joy. I am so happy to share this creative endeavor with those looking for inspiration or perhaps just hoping to get lost in a romantic vision.
