I wanted the perfect combination of classic tradition mixed with my unique style. I wanted something romantic, delicate and vintage. Of course I utilized Pinterest for some inspiration but Melanie helped me bring my vision to a focus. I definitely wanted a vintage-inspired wedding, with some of my own flair thrown in.
Instead of using table numbers, I named each table after a classic romance film -- Casablanca, Roman Holiday, An Affair to Remember, etc. I found photos online of the famous couples in each film and printed them on 5x7 paper. I took a big sheet of chalkboard and affixed each photo with space between to write the guest names with white chalkboard marker next to their assigned table. I was very proud of this.
I like to be unique in a lot of things that I do. So we chose to use a lot of burlap decor with lace overlay, to add a feminine touch. We stuck to mostly white flowers with soft pops of greenery for color. White vintage lanterns and birdcages adorned the guest tables. Twinkle lights and round paper lanterns hung in the air. It was a night fit for romance!
