Denver Wedding: Mint, Lace, Dance, and Wood-Chopping Fun!

A tender moment: Groom supports bride with wildflowers at outdoor wedding

Nathan and Sarah share a love of dance, odd humor and wood chopping. So, it was absolutely necessary for them to incorporate all of those things on their big day.
As you will soon see, they incorporated each and every one. Some of which are in the full gallery here. We guarantee that this mint and lace Denver wedding is sure to make your smile. From their charming details, to their wedding portraits in the rain. All wonderfully captured by Jono & Laynie Co.

The Sweetest Kind of Love

From Jono & Laynie Co: Sarah and Nathan are adventurous, kind, caring, big-hearted, generous and, well, adorable. He picked her bouquet the morning of their wedding; it doesn't get more romantic than that.
He also made all the wooden details (like the table numbers) for their wedding. Swoon.

A Bit of Advice

From the Bride: We definitely should have had our friend brew more beer! Haha. (He home brewed all the beer himself, and it was amazing... hence it ran out at the beginning of dinner...)

Another thing would be to not invite way more than would comfortably fit in your venue. We definitely had some unexpected RSVP's, and though it worked out totally fine in the end, it caused us a lot of stress worrying that not everyone would fit.

Save A Dance For Me

From the Groom:We love dancing together! Namely in the kitchen when we cook, but also out on the town! We especially love swing dancing (Lindy Hop!), but the best part is that we make up most of our moves!

Read on to see how much this mint and lace wedding in Denver cost. Please note that costs change as the years go by, and prices are subject to change. This is just one couple’s breakdown to give you a rough estimate on how much a wedding like this may cost you.

Budget Breakdown:
Venue: $2,500
Catering (included bartenders): $3,800
Desserts (including our cake): $300
My Dress: $1,300
Nathan's Clothes: About $100 for everything Tablecloths: $160
Bridesmaids Dresses: $140 for 4
Flowers: $150 for everything. We got them wholesale and had some friends put them together for us. My husband picked my bouquet the morning of our wedding day, and it was better than any bouquet I ever could have bought.
Photography: FREE (We won a $2800 package by entering a contest!!)
Other than vases I bought at thrift stores and some burlap here and there, our centerpieces and other decorations were basically free. We made them ourselves (mostly my husband:) out of aspen wood we found in the forest and with various other items we were given or borrowed from friends.
