Mimi and Aidan are a fun couple and their wedding at North Arm Farm in Pemberton, BC was an extension of their love and laughter filled relationship. Mimi's vision was for an elegant farm wedding complete with a ceremony among the flower fields, dining al fresco, and dancing under the stars. Uncertain weather dashed Mimi's dream of open air dining, but a marquee tent allowed guests to dine outdoors (complete with an 'au-natural' grass floor) on this warm August night.
Precise coordination was required as everything from tables to lighting and seating to vintage furniture had to be brought in for the day. We borrowed bails of hay from the barn for the ceremony and styled furniture pieces throughout to give the wedding an elegant feel. The weather was a continuous roller coaster and everything from sun rays through ominous clouds during the ceremony to torrential downpour and thunder during cocktails kept guests guessing. In the end the sun shone through and a double rainbow was a treat that none of us could have planned. In true Mimi and Aidan fashion, they took it all in with a laugh and focused on the beauty of their surroundings, the love of their friends and the good times ahead.
