Chic & Affordable NY Wedding: Bernadette & Michael’s Special Day

Meet Michelle Hayes!
My name is Michelle Hayes and I'm a wedding/portrait photographer who would love to share my recent wedding of Bernadette and Michael. What makes this wedding unique and worth showcasing is how Bernadette managed to have her NY wedding at a fairly low cost. During these economic times it would be great to show how one does not need to get caught up in spending a fortune and still a fantastic wedding.

The reception was held at the Metropolitan Building in Long Island City which offers a huge amount of space at a fraction of the cost of most NY venues. This place is a architectural gem inside and a cool place to shoot from a photography stand point.

Bernadette found her Calvin Klein dress on sale at a discount retailer, even though it was still listed at full retail price online at a major department store, and wore a unique head piece from Fascinators in New York instead of a traditional veil.
