Mark and Paula knew that they wanted their wedding to have a a vintage feeling with a relaxed atmosphere. They opted not to have a ton of wedding decorations, and relied on the natural beauty and aesthetics of the McCormick Home Ranch as a backdrop.
With the help of their fabulous vendors, including their coordinator A Charming Occasion, they had a simply delightful day. You can see so much more of this spectacular Camarillo, California wedding venue and Mark and Paula's wedding in the full gallery here. All beautifully captured by Beaux Arts Photographie.
When mark and I first got engaged the only thing we knew was we wanted it to be outdoors and for our wedding to feel welcoming and comfortable for all our family and friends. We had thought of the beach or on a boat, but then a friend of mine recommended McCormick Home Ranch. Her sister was married there the previous year and she said how beautiful it was. When we visited the venue we fell in love with it. It was beautiful, and had that warm welcoming feeling we were looking for, it just felt like us.
Would you have done something differently? We loved how our wedding turned out, I would not change a single vendor they all were wonderful and made our wedding day one of the happiest days ever. I think if I were to do anything differently it would be to not second guess my decisions or choices for the wedding. I spent a lot time worrying and second guessing my choices from my dress to flowers to invitations. At the end of all the stress and worry I usually went with my first choice. Thank goodness I had a wonderful fiance, family and vendors to help ease my stress.
Their wonderful florist Suzie, from Yamaguchi's Flowers, worked with them to come up with flowers that felt casual enough to include squirrel puppets and still be beautiful.
On Their vendors:The first vendor we picked after the venue was Kirsten Ellis of Beaux Arts Photographie. When we meet with Kirsten we knew she would be our photographer, we just got a really good feeling from her and didn't meet with anyone else. Many of our vendors were recommended by friends or other vendors who had worked with them. Each time we met with a vendor if we got a good feeling from them we knew that they were the one for us and would help make our wedding day beautiful.
