McCormick Home Ranch Rustic Country Wedding

Bride holding a bouquet of pink and white flowers on her wedding day

With a love for country music and a good time, Tim and Keri immediately knew they wanted a rustic wedding full of mason jars, burlap, country music, and even red solo cups. After getting engaged in February of 2012, they agreed that the one thing they wanted to accomplish from their wedding was for guests to leave saying, "that was the best wedding we've ever been to."

From the Vendors:With a theme in place, the next wedding item to secure was a venue. The couple had been to a couple weddings at a beautiful venue in Camarillo, California called McCormick Home Ranch. With it's impressive white ranch house, gorgeous grounds, and vintage charm, Keri and Tim booked this venue immediately.

Being a teacher, the bride had all summer off to create all of the decor with her very crafty mom. From "redneck wine glasses," barn wood chalkboards, and burlap/lace napkin holders, the bride to be and her mom created 95% of the wedding decor and worked on every tiny detail they could think of. Everything and everyone seemed to fall right into place for this perfect day.

Many of the vendors are known by the bride and groom, holding a special place in their hearts, which also helped make their wedding such an unforgettable event. Keri and Tim are blessed with an amazing group of family and friends who can all agree that this couple is meant to share a lifetime of love that all of the country singers sing about.

From the Bride:I can honestly say I wouldn't do anything differently! I was really worried something would go wrong because that's what everyone said would happen ... but luckily nothing did. Everything fell right into place and was amazing. When my husband and I got back to the hotel that night, I totally started crying because I was so sad it was over. I loved every minute of the planning ... and the day went by so fast!

Read on to see how much this rustic country wedding cost. Please note that costs change as the years go by, and prices are subject to change. This is just one couple’s breakdown to give you a rough estimate on how much a wedding like this may cost you.

To be completely honest with you we received many "bro-deals," as Laura Turner calls it, because we were such good friends with so many people in the wedding industry. Our biggest expense was the venue. We are friends with the photographer, the DJ, the wedding coordinator, the caterer, the alcohol distributor, hair dresser, make-up artist, and the cake designer. They all were very generous to us on our big day which we will forever be grateful. Without all of our deals through vendors our guess is the wedding would have been $30-$35,000. It also helped that my mom and I created 95% of the wedding decor...we are bargain shoppers and can usually look at something and figure out how to make it on our own and for way less.
