This groom made sure his beautiful bride had the wedding of her dreams! Cecilia and Rene tied the knot on Malibu Beach under a custom made chuppah built by the groom himself. The stunning ceremony was followed by a cocktail hour and reception at The Sunset Restaurant. Using crisp white decor complimented by pops of color, Charley King of Bluebell Events designed every aspect of this modern coastal. As always, you can view more of the this fabulous Malibu beach wedding in pink and white by visiting the full gallery here, all beautifully captured by Krista Mason Photography.
From Charley King of Bluebell Events:I really loved how the groom made the ceremony chuppah. It was something that he passionately wanted to build and set up on the day. Everything that he made, he made with love for his bride and it was apparent throughout the entire wedding. It was one of those very special weddings where you feel privileged to be there and witness the love in the room.
On the Venue: The Sunset Restaurant is the perfect venue for any couple wanting a beautiful beach wedding! With it's romantic setting, delectable cuisine and gracious service coupled with it's ideal location against the Malibu bluffs just steps from Zuma Beach in Malibu, California, The Sunset Restaurant provides all your wedding needs in one simple package.
Housed in an updated version of a classic beach bungalow, the two-story restaurant breathes with space and light, thanks to the expanse of windows along the front wall. This venue is particularly event-friendly, with distinct areas that coordinate with each phase of a wedding celebration.
From the Bride:Our wedding day was awesome and the only thing we would change is that we would have had two microphones set up for the ceremony instead of just one. Other than that, the night was a lot of fun and it was nice having a small number of guest (66 in total) because it gave us a chance to talk to everyone and share special moments. We feel when the party gets to big you don't have enough time to talk to everyone, so we would recommend keeping the party small and intimate, which The Sunset Restaurant was perfect for...
From Krista Mason Photography:The groom really did so much towards the wedding. He make the ceremony arch himself and put it up on the day with his friends, which they plan to use in their backyard. He made all the tags for the escort card succulents and made all the escort succulents from his own garden in his backyard. He really was a hands on groom – he just wanted it perfect for his beautiful bride.
The crisp white color scheme was carried through the reception all the way to the tasty cake table. Green florals added a touch of color to the white tablescape, but it was the delicious white cakes by Cakes By Rumy that completed the whole look.
