Dreamed up by Amanda, the owner of Olive Tree Weddings, this shoot intended to show off her favorite movie - The Princess Diaries! The design is full of movie details such as Princess Mia's blue convertible, her headphones, crown, sunglasses, "You have pears in your flowers"-inspired centerpieces, and even the cold green gelato from Princess Diaries 2. Inspiration came from dreams of Mia cruising in her car, dancing to silly tunes on her headphones, and strong, feminine energy to show off her newfound confidence and grace. It also helped that the couple for this shoot were newlyweds themselves! Keep scrolling to see how Stephanie Lanni Photography captured each of these special details (and even a few more!) at Bella Cosa.
Before featuring a blue floral dress as a nod to the second movie, the shoot began with whimsical details from the first such as Mia's elbow-length satin gloves, her tiara, and headphones. Chic sunglasses completed the look!
The bride changed into a stunning floral-printed ballgown from Arden Bridal with images of delicate blue and pink flowers and butterflies that complemented the light peaches, whites, and yellow-greens on the bouquet by Posey Blooms.

The couple enjoyed a custom Italian gelato cart complete with a traditional black and white umbrella to protect those placing an order. Floral design (with extra-special pear details!) carried with continuity throughout the reception, including on the cart itself.
Reception design included luxurious garden-inspired details and hues. It even carried the Princess Diaries theme throughout with some special "easter eggs" including the cold green gelato and pear-inspired table decor.
Another special detail included a sign for Mia's cat, Fat Louie, that also offered a custom wedding cocktail recipe for the bar.
The cake designed for this shoot by Sweet Foundation featured simple white fondant tiers accented with a sheer mauve linen bow that draped down over the table. It was the epitome of quiet luxury and timeless elegance.
