For this stunning wedding inspo, a team of vendors united to create a sophisticated amber wedding theme in Cognac – a well-known town in Southwest France, where the beverage of the same name is produced. Each year, many travelers go to Cognac to visit the Cognac Wineries, staying at the 5-star Hotel Chais Monnet and Spa, which proved to be the perfect location for this inspiration. Keep scrolling to see how Veronique Lorre used a palette of peach, amber, soft pink, and Mountbatten pink to design a wedding that would suit both summer and autumn, all captured on camera by Aude Lucas.
Hotel Chais Monnet and Spa, located in famous Cognac, South-West of France, is a high-end venue for anyone wishing to organize an intimate elopement dinner. Its bright corridors and glass facades symbolize the alliance between modernity and the long-lasting tradition of Cognac production.
A modern wedding stationery with minimalist shapes, fonts, and colors - such as this one by Insieme Creations - can complement a contemporary wedding design. Depending on the season of the wedding a couple can choose to emphasis pinker colors for summer or more brownish tones for autumn.
For this shoot, French couture establishment Maison NCV designed two wedding dresses: a modern dress with a large shoulder detail, and a shiny hand-sewn evening dress for the jazz bar portion of the reception. To complete the look, Heloïse from So Helo provided billowing, flowery earrings and head pieces that exhibited timeless French style. Celinni seized the opportunity to design a Cognac-color morganite engagement ring for the shoot, as well.
To create a theme unique to Cognac, Veronique Lorre meticulously chose florals within a peach to pink color palette. Dahlias and roses were the focal point of these compositions, playing on the timelessness of roses and modernity of dahlias.
Amber glassware on the table also echoed the Cognac theme and created that intended contemporary meets timeless aesthetic. This color - in conjunction with the peaches and pink of the flowers - also complemented the gold tones in the bottles of Hotel Chais Monnet and Spa's jazz bar, which was also an excellent space for portraits.
French delicacies of macarons and madeleines – baked by Meriem from Madeleines & Macarons - were placed artfully as table gifts. These gourmet pieces were displayed on towers next to the timeless, white-toned wedding cake.
