Juliet and Samuel’s romantic Jewish wedding at the stunning Langham Huntington, Pasadena, was nothing short of magical. Juliet wore a breathtaking, flowy Vera Wang wedding gown that perfectly captured the elegance and romance of their day. Their Persian-Jewish wedding was held at the very same Langham Huntington Hotel where the couple got engaged, just days before the Jewish New Year. The celebration began with appetizers and cocktails in the Viennese Ballroom, followed by an enchanting garden-themed ceremony in the Horseshoe Garden. The centerpiece of the ceremony was a stunning asymmetrical cascading chuppah adorned with vibrant garden roses that harmonized with the hotel’s green and pink accents.

The reception was held in the Huntington Ballroom, transitioning seamlessly from the outdoor garden theme with tablescapes featuring colorful garden roses and an array of high and low candles. Guests enjoyed an open station of fruits, tea, coffee, and desserts, along with a sit-down dinner. Custom napkins, dinner menus, and linen kippahs were personalized with the couple’s logo, designed by Samuel’s uncle, a passionate artist. The reception also featured their signature cocktail, a Dirty Gin Martini, reflecting the couple’s shared favorite drink.

Juliet and Samuel met on a blind date on July 8, 2023, while Samuel was completing his final year of family medicine residency. The couple’s engagement came as a romantic surprise on June 9, 2024, at The Langham Huntington Hotel in Pasadena, California. During a sweet evening together, Samuel realized he couldn’t wait another day to call Juliet his wife. Excusing himself briefly, he rushed to find a photographer and retrieve the ring from his car to propose to her on the spot. From that moment, the hotel became a deeply sentimental place for the couple.

Juliet’s wedding gown, the “Vera Dress” by Vera Wang, was customized with an organza flower for a dramatic, Vogue-inspired look. Choosing a bouquet to complement the dress was a delightful challenge, ultimately resulting in a stunning arrangement of white ranunculus flowers—the only white flowers featured in the wedding.

To honor the memory of their late maternal grandfathers, their tallits were placed atop the chuppah, creating a meaningful canopy under which the couple exchanged vows. Samuel added a personal touch to the ceremony by singing as Juliet walked down the aisle toward him and her parents. Under the chuppah, he also performed a prayer for the two of them. The ceremony concluded with the Rabbi blowing the shofar, symbolizing the beginning of a spiritual reflection.

CHUPPAH: A canopy under which a Jewish couple stands during their wedding ceremony. The word chuppah is Hebrew for "protection" or "covering". The chuppah symbolizes the new home that the couple will build together. It also has a legal purpose, as standing under the chuppah is the formal act that makes the couple married.

TALLIT: A tallit is a Jewish prayer shawl worn by men and women during morning prayer services, on the Sabbath, and on holidays. They are used to prepare the mind and heart for prayer and inspire elation and reverence for God.

KIPPAH: A head covering, typically a close-fitting brimless cap made of cloth, worn primarily by men in Judaism. Also commonly called a yarmulke in Yiddish, this skullcap is worn to show reverence to God, to instill a sense of humility, and as a reminder that there is a higher power.

SHOFAR: is an ancient musical horn, typically made of a ram’s horn, used for Jewish ritual purposes.
