We had a boat pick up guests at the hotel and transport them to the wedding site. They were able to take in the gorgeous scenery for a 20-minute ride on the lake and were dropped off at the ceremony. The rose petal bags and the programs were from Etsy! The Cake, as well as all of the desserts, were all gluten-free and vegan! I hot glued some sombreros onto mini tequila bottles for our favors! Friday morning was the rehearsal, after the rehearsal, the groom along with his groomsman went golfing. The CDA Resort has 18 Holes of award-winning golf, plus the famous Floating green! The men went nuts for it! While the men golfed, the bridal party had a day by the infinity pool overlooking Lake Coeur d'Alene. The rehearsal Dinner was later that evening taking place on a 50 passenger boat that toured around lake CDA while we had dinner watching the sunset. It was the perfect way to spend the day before our Ceremony
We wanted nature to be the focal point of the day. Allowing the scenery speak for itself. We were going for a romantic vibe with a touch of vintage and rustic. Sprinkled with personal touches! We had minimal decor.
We wanted to create a guest-centric event in which every element would ensure our guests had a relaxing, and fun experience. We ultimately decided that we really did want to have an intimate ceremony surrounded by our loved ones… It was truly a life-changing and magical experience. We felt everyone's love and excitement to be there witnessing us becoming one.
The DIY projects were the Flowers and Favors! I ordered the rose petals as well as the flowers for the bridesmaids from Costco. My best friend Jessica has a special gift with flowers so she designed the bridesmaids bouquet and helped the bridesmaids put their own bouquets together! This truly saved me on cost and it looked professionally done! They turned out PERFECT!
For the Bridesmaids, I always wanted the same color but different styles for each girl. I chose the Shona Joy Bridesmaid collection in Navy. Since we wanted to keep costs down, The groomsmen rented their suits from thetheblacktux.com!
We wanted the colors of nature... green, neutrals and white were always the colors that stood out to me. They complemented our ceremony and reception beautifully. At the Bride and Grooms sweetheart table, we wanted beautiful vintage touches along with our favorite greenery, Eucalyptus!
We rented a deep red vintage love seat long with gold vintage tumblers. The candles brought in that romantic feeling we were going for! The reception took place right beside the ceremony site in a beautiful Modern Event center with an open wall setting overlooking the lake where it gave you the luxury of being inside while feeling like you were outdoors!
You have to watch the entire wedding film from Matt Green Films. It is so great to see the entire wedding in real life.
