These two decided to go big when it came to celebrating their engagement–and why not? These days, most couples are having to wait years before they officially get to tie the knot, so make the most of the time you have as an engaged couple! They also made sure that it was more than just a shoot, they took the time to write each other heartfelt love notes that they will have to cherish for years to come.

The Wedding Inspired went all-out when designing this engagement shoot and made sure that the couple got the fairytale photos of their dreams. Origami Florist created this soft, romantic bouquet that complemented the bride-to-be's tulle gown beautifully. Mattie C. Fine Art Wedding Photography captured individual portraits and couple's portraits as the two explored the sprawling grounds of The Upper House. This set of engagement photos showcases Hong Kong in terms of its modern architecture, nature, and lovely seaside. The shoot was done by Mattie C. Fine Art Wedding Photography, with makeup and hair done by Xing Maquillage. YT and YK first met each other in Paris during a university study trip. The love letter designed by WhaleWhispers Calligrapher for the couple includes a hand-drawn Eiffel Tower adorned with touches of gold shimmer together with an envelope liner with the Song of Solomon 8:6-7 hand-lettered. The gold wax seal echoes with the song that talks about the seal. The flat lay is accompanied by florals from Origami Florist and a ring box by Fìlles.

On the day of the shoot, with a forecast of rain, they first started at The Upper House. The bride was dressed in the Nika Gown from To Be Wed and later changed to a Liz Martinez Gown from The Wedding Gown. The sun came out in the afternoon, so they went off to the Peak, the highest hill on Hong Kong island, for some outdoor shots. The shoot then wrapped up with the most gorgeous sunset at the beach.

HOW TO PUT YOUR LOVE INTO WORDS

A piece of advice from the bride on writing up a love letter for the engagement shoot: “I love writing letters, and YT and I have been exchanging letters since we were dating. But writing a love letter for my engagement shoot was indeed a challenge for me. The love letter in a wedding flat lay is usually not very long (mine was about 50 words). I felt like I had so much to say but didn't know how to start. When I was drafting the letter, I decided to cover 'the past', 'the present', and 'the future; meaning 1) how we met, 2) how we are now, and 3) our life together in the future. The love letter doesn't have to be fancy in words, nor does it have to be 'perfectly' written. As long as it comes from you and is sincere, that is all that matters.
