Love was brewing at KJ & Jillian’s ultra chic and unique brewery wedding in sunny Tampa, Florida. Their shared passion and love for the art of craft brews brought them together, so it only made sense to have a beautiful craft brewery wedding and reception to celebrate their forever together.
The steam punk vibe at Coppertail Brewing Co. created a warm and inviting atmosphere for the chic design of the day which featured soft candlelight, gorgeous moody florals and their custom designed crest throughout. From Hunter Ryan Photo: KJ & Jillian met at a brewery, their love story revolved around their love of the art of craft brewing - as KJ worked for a brewery at the time - so it was only fitting that they wed AT a brewery. Nuptials/reception and all. Their first look was shared amidst the barrels and hops. And soon after the wedding - they are actually in the process of opening THEIR very own brewery - Leaven Brewing.
While their brewery wedding was oh so fitting for the duo - what made it the most special was how personal they truly made it. KJ's family members are floral and event designers and helped lend their skills to the beauty of Jillian's vision. KJ's mother is an amazing baker and created all the custom confections for their dessert bar. KJ's brothers not only stood by his side on their big day - but his brother Matt, a Pastor, is who married them - while his younger brother lent his guitar skills during their ceremony. It truly was a labor of love and a family affair.
The design for the day started from a drawing on a napkin KJ & Jillian sketched while having beers one evening. They'd always dreamed of a signature "logo" of sorts combining their names - and creating a crest. From there - they decided to roll with it and started to incorporate colors/tones/textures for the day - alongside Isn't She Lovely Florals. They created an amazing palette of soft purple hues with rich burgundy and touches of greenery, gold and beautiful calligraphy mixed in with amethyst geodes.
Jillian said "The overall feel in few words would be: heavy, industrial, romantic. I think that's a totally made up "feel" but it seems to work. The brewery almost has a steam-punk like atmosphere, but it's very warm - the flowers and decor juxtaposed the industrial feel to bring in the romance."
For dinner - besides serving custom brews, they decided to have food trucks from Fort Myers and Naples Florida come all the way up to Tampa to serve their friends and family a choice of either: amazing fresh organic dishes - or traditional southern comfort food like fried chicken and waffles. The food trucks parked just outside the brewery were a huge hit with guests. And not wanting to be "typical" - in true KJ & Jillian fashion - they opted for a super fun band "The Good Bad Kids" -who aren't a wedding band at all, but an amazing folk rock band who was the perfect fit to keep their brewery party "hoppin."
