This next wedding day is hands down gorgeous! With its easy-going venue combined with a tré chic neutral tone color palette beautifully designed by Luckeleven Events, we were love struck the minute we saw it. Funny enough, that's exactly the way Kristina felt after having first met Connor. And won't you believe it, six years after that meeting they tied the knot!
Keep scrolling to hear more about this adorable couples' love story and what their "must-haves" for their big day were. And as always, we have more photos for you to peruse in our full gallery, thanks to the photography talents of Christy Johnston.
Kristina and Connor met in college through a mutual friend. Although they went to different schools about an hour and a half apart, their mutual friend was determined to set them up (and we framed the Facebook Messages as evidence at the wedding!). After their first encounter, Kristina told her mother that she just found her future husband. Fast forward six years...
Their wedding took place at Kristina's childhood home where we transformed their property into a magical garden venue that overlooks expansive vineyards. Even our photographer, Christy Johnston, said it was one of the most amazing venues she had shot at! Kristina’s parents and sister also got married on the property, so the beloved tradition continued through a final family member to get married.
This wedding was incredibly enjoyable to plan with the help of the best vendors who took our vision and brought it to life for Kristina and Connor. The classic design was shown throughout the event - from a white, draped tent, to the neutral bridesmaid dresses and long-stemmed white rose bouquets. I designed all of the paper products as well, keeping a minimalistic look but adding a romantic script to the table numbers, seating cards, signs and hanging seating chart. Even Kristina's father spent the year prior, planting white rose bushes around the property to match the aesthetic and design that we created.
Kristina and Connor were adamant about very few items during the planning process. We had to include their Instagram-famous french bulldog, Gracie, in the ceremony and Connor had to have the best cake in town. Connor tried cake at four different bakeries before deciding on a bakery in LA (yes, I personally drove three cakes up to Santa Ynez from LA). Kristina also dreamed about having a frosé machine at her reception, so guests could cool down in the warm weather with a refreshing wine slushie. All of their requests truly made the wedding memorable and SO much fun!
The guests kept the dance floor packed all night, celebrating under a tent covered wall to wall in string lights to create a warm, intimate feeling. At the end of the night, the guests were able to enjoy an after-party with cornhole and customized drinking games to commemorate the college years when they first met!
