This generation of wedding couples grew up with iconic Disney princesses, we wanted so much to be these beautiful women who sang and danced and had magical animal friends. So it is no wonder that Lisa chose to model her wedding look and the overall day after her fav of the Disney royals, The Little Mermaid's Ariel.
So fab, we have no words! You are just going to have to keep scrolling to hear from Intertwined Events about this beautiful beach wedding with a pink haired beauty at the center of it. Oh and as always be sure to stop by the full gallery to see even more of this magical day captured by Chard Photo.
When the bride came to us and explained that she wanted her wedding to feel like Ariel’s version of an underwater wedding reception brought to life on land, we knew we were in for a treat. From their duo of French bulldogs, the bride’s long, flowing pink hair, ALL the shells and assorted textures and the sweetest Best Man, Lisa and Brandon’s mermaid-inspired wedding day was absolute perfection!
The bridal party was a family affair. Brandon’s dad served as the Best Man, Lisa’s brother lovingly officiated the wedding, while his daughter was one of the cutest flower girls with her floral wand. This marriage truly was the merging of two families to become one.
We love our four-legged friends and Lisa and Brandon had TWO at their wedding. Their French bulldogs are so special to the couple so it was important they were there on their wedding day. They dressed up for the occasion, looking very dapper with white floral collars on. These cute little faces were even a part of their gifts to each other - Brandon got a pair of cufflinks and Lisa received slide sandals!
As much as we love Lisa’s mermaid pink hair, her tiara really brought together her entire bridal style. She rocked a Reem Acra gown that featured a sparkling, lace applique bodice and a full, layered tulle ballgown. We can’t forget about her velvet pink, Sophia Webster shoes. Brandon’s light beige suit and floral print tie matched the laid-back ambiance of the beachside wedding.
When the couple did their first look, there was not a dry eye around…just check out Brandon’s expression as he turned around and saw his real-life mermaid. It was TOO good!
Lavender’s Flowers brought all our floral dreams to life! Lisa’s bountiful bouquet was crafted with a blooming anemone, garden roses and wisps of greenery for an organic and natural look. A ceremony arch featured a lush arrangement of “dusty” garden roses and eucalyptus leaves, accented with assorted glass containers and lanterns.
The shell escort card display caught a lot of the guest’s attention, so cleverly placed amongst the sand in whitewashed wood boxes.
The reception took place outside on the deck. White-washed wood tables and chairs matched the airy atmosphere by the waterside. A sea blue runner added movement to the table, while centerpieces of bright pastel florals adorned every table to create the dreamiest dinner décor. Driftwood, mussel shells and starfish added texture and brought the entire design to life. The finishing touches were peach napkins tied with an organza ribbon and a custom sea glass table number. It truly was a magical design.
Beverly’s Bakery cooked up the most beautiful gold painted (and absolutely delicious) cake ever! Guests enjoyed the sweet treat and spent the night dancing away, under the stars.
