Now here's a new one! This entire wedding was built around the bride and her mothers shared love of the clothing company Lilly Pulitzer. Known for its funky and fun patterns, the Lilly Pulitzer theme made for an extremely vibrant wedding day that we could not get enough of! There is tons more to see of Dennis and Emily's bold pattern wedding in Pennsylvania, so don't miss a single moment, captured by Amie Schroeder Photography. Visit the full gallery.
The Lilly Pulitzer Lifestyle From the Bride: Growing up, I fell in love with the happy prints of Lilly Pulitzer after my mom took me to my very first Lilly Pulitzer sale. This became a yearly tradition with my sisters and mom, she truly lived the Lilly Pulitzer happy and bright lifestyle! My mom passed away 3 years ago, and just two years ago I landed my dream job as an accountant at Lilly Pulitzer. Having Lilly Pulitzer bridesmaid dresses made me feel like my mom was there with us on our wedding day!
I love to craft and wanted to make the wedding have a personal touch, so I made the groomsmen, fathers, and ring bearers their bow ties, as well as the flower girl hair bows. I also made the programs, the menus, all of the chalkboards, the centerpiece jars, the place cards and place card door, and the photo booth props.
A piece of advice I would give is to make a really detailed shot list for your photographer. Include people's names, so your photographer can quickly call out who should be in each shot. Have a family member look over the list to make sure you get all the shots you want for your wedding! We had a big wedding party (and even bigger family) that this made things really easy for us to ensure we got all of the pictures we wanted.
My advice for brides to be is to really savor the moment. You spend so much time planning, and figuring out all the little details. The day itself goes so quickly! Take some time with your new hubby and take it all in! It is the best day of your life that is over in the blink of an eye!
