Naturally beautiful
From 'Cause We Can Events: Augusta and Aaron, are first and foremost two yogis who fell in love. Both very adventurous and lovers of nature, Aaron swooped Augusta off her feet and proposed to her at the top of a mountain. Their wedding was just as adventurous and naturally beautiful as they are.
Nature all around
The ceremony and reception were held at the Ventana Inn in jaw-dropping Big Sur, California. With the ceremony overlooking the ocean and giant redwood trees behind the Inn, all we needed was a delicate arch to frame the couple during their vows. The arch was handmade by 'Cause We Can Events using upcycled wood and vintage lace. Long garlands rested on the top to add a little greenery to it all. The ceremony incorporated some jewish traditions and yogic practices to represent the couple perfectly.
Seed paper cards
Reception tables were adorned with long eucalyptus garlands, copper geometric candles and a touch of fresh flowers. For this eco-friendly couple, we made sure to make the escort cards out of seed paper that guests can plant at home. Each one dipped in natural turmeric dye, hand stamped and pinned on a handcrafted wooden frame.
Eco-chic twist
The wedding favors were succulents in jam jars that were grown at a non-profit Garden in Palos Verdes, CA (South Coast Botanic Garden). This wedding was the perfect example of a beautiful and meaningful event with an eco-chic twist!
Save a slice or two
From the bride: We didn't get to eat our wedding cake. Such a shame! Again, the night went by so quickly that we did not make time to enjoy our cake. Advice I'd give to future brides would be to have someone save you a few slices of your cake to enjoy later in the evening. When the party is over you will be tired and hungry. I wish we would have had some cake waiting for us in our room to enjoy after the party.
