Let It Snow–A Magical Winter Wedding on Lake Tahoe
It's so funny how there are only a few degrees of separation (literally) between the dreaded "Raaiiiaaannn on your wedding day..." and "Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!". But seriously, how magical would it be to walk down the aisle as perfect little snowflakes float to the ground? That's exactly the entrance this bride had been dreaming of forever...and lucky for her, her dreams came true!

DON'T FORGET TO ACCESSORIZE
Stephanie watched through the stunning floor-to-ceiling windows of her bridal suite as her wedding planner from Plan Your Day With Sharae and the West Shore Cafe team set up her dream wedding ceremony on the pier below. She got ready in the bridal suite with the help of her mom, four bridal party members, and hair and make-up artists from Solstice Weddings.
“Since we were having a winter Tahoe wedding, I knew faux fur was a must! I wore a fur jacket over my wedding gown, and my bridesmaids were given faux fur shawls to go with their forest green dresses. I ended up wearing a strapless beaded gown that I loved, but wouldn’t have picked! It was my mom’s pick, and mama sure knew best! It was a beautiful gown! I had a long veil to accompany it and wore my hair down and loose. My new husband picked out my shoes! He got me white boots with grip so I wouldn’t slip walking down the aisle in the snow! (He’s truly the best!). As far as the men’s fashion, they all wore blue suits with cognac brown shoes and bow ties. My husband found these beautiful leather bow ties from Kingsley Leather that we’re very unique, and looked amazing on! Each of the men had a boutonnière made by the bridesmaids.”, said Stephanie.
A BRIDE THAT SURE CAN DIY
All of the decor was DIY! Stephanie made everything from the signs to the blankets handed out during the ceremony. Even the floral arrangements and bouquets were made by the bride and her bridesmaids with flowers from The Bouqs Co. For her florals, Stephanie kept it natural using greenery and white florals to compliment the winter white day. Stephaine absolutely loves crafting and was very excited to add personal touches to her wedding day.
LET IT SNOW
Stephanie and Danny were married on a magical snowy March day overlooking the majestic Lake Tahoe. Even though the temperature was in the 30's and snow was falling pretty hard, Stephanie still knew 100% that she wanted an outdoor ceremony on the lakefront pier of the West Shore Cafe.
When it came time for the ceremony, it was snowing...a lot. But, because there was so much warmth felt between the couple and all their friends and family, no one seemed to mind or even notice the cold. It helped that Stephanie thought ahead and provided personalized blankets for every guest. It snowed through the entire ceremony as well as the post-ceremony portraits, which made for the most enchanting wedding photos!
A FAMILY AFFAIR
According to the bride, Stephanie, “Hands down the most special part for us was when I walked down the aisle. Besides walking down and seeing my new husband at the end, we had our niece singing. She sang a beautiful rendition of Can’t Help Falling in Love and it was breathtaking! I must have watched our wedding video a hundred times just to hear her sing again. Having her sing was so special for us, and for our family and friends. They did not know she would be singing, so it was a nice surprise to share with everyone. It still makes my heart want to skip a beat remembering hearing her voice when I first walked out. I’m so glad we were able to have her there and part of our day!”
Stephanie and Danny’s reception was held indoors in the dining room of the West Shore Cafe where guests were seated at long tables and the couple overlooked all of their family and friends from their sweetheart table. From the heartfelt toasts to the super fun and popular photo booth provided by The Traveling Photo Booth, Stephanie and Danny’s wedding celebration was full of love, laughter, and so much fun! And it was all artfully captured by Breanne Rojas of Vivo Photography and Lake Full Of Pictures.
A SWEET SEND-OFF
Stephanie said, “Even though it ended up snowing during our ceremony, the snow stopped and guests were able to enjoy s’more making outside on the fire pits! We provided each guest with a s’more making kit on their plate at the beginning of the reception. I really enjoyed that! I love when there are fun interactive activities at weddings, and what’s more warm and cozy than s’mores by the fire! Another personal touch we had was a sparkler send-off at the end of the night. The guests created an arch of sparklers my husband and I walked through at the end of the reception. The photos of that turned out truly magical!”
