Nicki and Jay truly had an ideal California wedding. A perfect sunny day, the ocean just stones-throw away, plus they were surrounded by their closest family and friends. Mix in one serious stylish party designed by Beau & Arrow Events, and you have created the perfect day.
Be sure to read on and see more from Nicki, and as always you simply must peruse the gallery to see more of this Malibu beach wedding. All fantastically captured by Fondly Forever Photography.
From The Bride:Our other favorite touches included a hand-made directional sign made by our dear friend Bryce showing which way to our home towns (placed in a vintage glass water jug thrifted at the Rosebowl flea market) and an ornate frame that held a photo of our long-haired chihuahua Oso in a mini-tux on the guest book table.
From the moment we started planning the wedding, we knew that we wanted something that spoke to where we met and fell in love. Southern California. The Adamson House in Malibu was our very first venue stop and we immediately knew that it was the perfect place. Jay is a truly avid surfer, so it was really the perfect venue.
It exudes SoCal from it's coastal locale, its beautiful Spanish-style architecture, it's large sycamore tree situated perfectly in a small shaded grove for the ceremony and all the way down to every single historically-preserved tile. Plus with surfers catching waves literally in its backyard we knew that was the perfect backdrop for the wedding...
Once we had the venue and the inspiration, it was easy to choose decor to match. We drew from the house's color scheme (pale with pops of color) for the tables.
Primary Petals did an exquisite job designing all the florals, the mismatched brightly colored vases spilling over with island style florals looks positively spectacular.
How tasty does the food look from Eco Caters? An organic catering company serving Los Angeles, San Diego and Washington D.C.!
They strive to produce the most flavorful cuisine for every event while upholding very high standards with regards to quality and eco-consciousness. They do so in many ways but primarily by catering organic food bought directly from local organic Southern California, Virginia and Maryland farms, depending on the location of your event.
From our best friend officiating the ceremony to dancing the night away to music played by JP McLeod under the stars with our family and closest friends and the ocean just a stones-throw away made it a truly perfect night and we couldn't have asked for a more perfect beginning to the rest of our lives.
Their cake table was filled with delectable desserts from SusieCakes. An all-American bakery offering home-style dessert favorites baked entirely from scratch using simple natural ingredients. With several locations in Southern and Northern California you too can have a tasty table just like the one above.
They also had an adorable S'Mores bar that Jay built from scratch and they decorated with "S'mores y'all" signage to touch on Nicki's Texas origins. So cute ... right?
