Kathyrn an d Ryan wanted a day that felt laid back yet elevated and House on Metolius was the perfect venue to help them pull it all off. Kathyrn wore personalized vans and denim jacket by Bash Calligraphy giving the wedding a very easy going feel yet dazzling gold flatware, velvet napkins and colored pressed glassware to fit their unique vision of an elevated event. It was the perfect mix for this couple.
Max Grudzinski Photography was there to capture all the fun details, Bird House Weddings to film, and The Indigo Bride planned every detail. You can see all the images in the full gallery.
The ladies kicked off the day with hair and makeup by Gold and Arrow Salon at one of the on-site adorable vintage cabins.
The bridesmaids were dressed in mix designed, shades of blush pink dresses. Kathryn wore a flowy, lace dress, and her beautiful brunette locks were adorned with a dried globe thistle hairpiece and carried a bouquet by Bend Floral Artistry.
Ryan and his groomsmen wore tan suits with lavender pocket-squares.
After 7 years of dating, Kathryn and Ryan were finally married on a beautiful summer day in June of 2019 in Central Oregon. House on Metolius as their wedding venue, featured epic views of the Cascade Mountain Range and provided a private, elevated vibe.
The ceremony site included white garden chairs, boho rugs, floral arrangements featuring proteas, garden roses, globe thistle, and pampas grass that feature rentals from Curated Event Rentals, Heirlooms & Co., La Tavola and BBJ Linen.
The guests all took in a stunning view of the crystal blue Metolius river and snowy mountain peaks in the distance. The couple’s adorable English bulldog stole the show with her pink tutu and amaranths floral collar. After many laughs, a few tears, and beautifully written vows, Kathryn and Ryan smooched and made it official!
As she always wished, Kathyrn walked barefoot down the aisle, yet later sported her personalized hot pink sparkly Vans for the reception.
The guests were invited to a cocktail hour to enjoy yummy appetizers and delicious drinks from Bow Tie Catering. The reception space was decorated with a cozy lounge, funky balloon installation from The Indigo Party, along with a neon “lovestruck” sign. At this time, the bridesmaids snuck away to capture photos in their personalized denim jackets.
The couple stated that they absolutely loved their day because they were surrounded by the people that they love most in the world. We loved designing and provided coordination for their special day and adored all the added touches to personalize their celebration of love even more.
The reception tables were named after different fishing flies since Ryan’s favorite recreation activity is fly fishing. The terrariums contained those fly patterns, along with a variety of crystals which is one of Kathryn’s favorites.
After a delicious family-style dinner service and sentimental toasts, they cut their adorable wedding cake by Too Sweet Cakes that featured a personalized cake topper of their family, all three doggos, and of course, Ryan fly fishing. The guests were invited to indulge in their assorted donut, pop tart and dessert bar and then danced the night away al fresco to Flip Flop Sounds.
