Justin Steele of the Chicago Cubs and his gorgeous fianceé, Libby, tied the knot in a spectacular lakefront ceremony at Three Lakes Manor. Libby graced the white rose petal aisle in a chic minimalist mermaid gown and dramatic lace-trimmed veil. With tears in his eyes, Justin was waiting for her under a stunning white floral arch (one of the biggest ones we've ever seen!). the vision
Libby and Justin have had a wild journey, with Justin's pro career in the MLB, Libby's health journey, and their growth together as parents to their beautiful boy. They chose to get married at the stunning Three Lakes Manor close to Justin's immediate family which was the perfect venue to house all of their family and wedding party who traveled for the weekend. The celebration started with a rehearsal dinner in the rain where Libby surprised Justin with the band that played for them in the bar they fell in love at.
Led by iShine Events, this wedding team was a dream from start to finish. Libby had a very specific vision of elevated romance with editorial moments in mind. Kate Banach did a spectacular job with the floral design which really pulled the whole design together. When the day came together it took everyone's breath away. It was a stunning black-tie affair, with gorgeous all-white floral arrangements, a rose petal aisle, and a clear tent reception.
the flowers
For this formal manor wedding, the couple decided to go monochromatic with all of the details, including the flowers. A spectacular white rose arch set the stage (literally) for the lakefront ceremony. But, our favorite of the floral arrangements has to be the installation on this outdoor spiral staircase 🤩.
a thoughtful ceremony
White rose petals lined the aisle as guests took their seats for the ceremony. Justin and Libby exchanged vows in front of their closest family and friends under the stately rose arch. In a touching tribute, they also acknowledged all of their loved ones who were with them in spirit on their special day.
what they wore
Libby wore a gorgeous minimal gown and cathedral lace veil that truly complemented the design. Then, everyone was excited about her big outfit change into a sequin mini dress. Justin looked incredibly handsome with his moment in the blue getaway car. The guests themselves looked incredible in all black. The bridesmaids and groomsmen looked so classy and elegant in their ensembles as well.
a candlelit reception
Hundreds of white candles lit the reception space and gave it an other-worldly glow. The giant floral arch from the ceremony was re-purposed and provided an epic frame for the couple's sweetheart table.
bring on the live music
There was entertainment from the iconic violinist, John, who has gone viral for his covers of popular songs. He played as Libby walked down the aisle. Ernest, the country singer we all know and love, serenaded the couple for their first dance and treated them to their favorite songs during the reception. Then, DJ Qwon shut down the dance floor with banger after banger.
