A wedding is the celebration of two people joining together to become one unit. So, why not take the opportunity to celebrate everything that makes you unique as individuals and who you are as a couple. These two did just that with their Italian-inspired vineyard wedding. With the bride, Gianna, being a wedding planner herself, there was no denying this was a classy affair. But, we love how, among the meticulously arranged floral installations and luxe tablescapes, they slipped in fun quirky elements that made their celebration truly unique-like the BBQ sauce favor wall or the tribute to Alabama on the groom's cake.
The bride's company, Events By Gianna, was thrilled to bring her big day to life with a helping hand from Ivy Lane Events so she could actually kick back and enjoy the ride a bit. Floral Luxe created these whimsical floral arrangements that turned the already scenic Pacheco Ranch Winery into an enchanted secret garden. Jackie Rangel Photo was there to capture every little detail and special moment between the happy couple and their nearest and dearest. Gianna, from Events By Gianna, and her fiance, Jamie, started their laid-back day by getting ready in the old 1800s colonial house on the property of Pacheco Ranch Winery. As the couple shared their first looks with their parents on the steps of the white-pillared home, the design team from Events By Gianna was transforming the venue with an Italian romance inspired design, French bistro chairs, twinkle lights, fresh florals (inspired by Gianna's late grandmother's favorite flower), hydrangeas, and of course a custom bbq sauce wall handmade by Jamie and displayed by Wild Horse Design Co. The couple chose to mash the bride's Italian heritage and groom's southern roots by alternating the place settings with the phrases "Ciao" and "Hey Y'all." The couple also chose to have not just one wedding cake, but three whole wedding cakes to mix and match Italian-inspired cake designs and an Alabama decorated cake for Jamie's southern upbringing.
As a wedding planner, I have come to know, love, and TRUST so many amazing vendors in my industry. When it came time for me to be a bride, I knew the team I built would knock it out of the park and I trusted them each from booking until the wedding day. You hire your vendors for a reason–let them do their thing!
Your wedding should reflect you and your partner in all aspects. From the food choices and the music playlist to the color of the napkins–this is your chance to showcase your love story in unique and creative ways.
So often in wedding planning, you see brides and grooms be influenced to do this or do that because that's what you're "supposed to do". Come into planning with a strong sense of self and know how you and your partner want to do things. Break the rules when it comes to tradition, or don't–it's your day, no one else's.
