Just as in a good romantic comedy, she was 26 and he was her boss. True story. Both fell in love and here they are. Now she is the boss...of everything, but mostly holidays and wedding planning. Over last 6 wonderful years, they became lovers, friends and partners in crime sharing their passions for travel to all corners of the world and crazy hobbies. He loves surfing and she loves diving (but mostly beach and suntanning). He’s an adrenaline junkie who love snowboarding and getting dropped from the heli and she more enjoys the après ski. It's been such an adventure and there is so much yet to come!
Karolina wore the Galia Lahav 'Luca' gown which is a stunning mermaid gown with a deep plunging v-neckline adjourned with hand-beaded embroidery. Karolina met with Galia Lahav herself, who personally measured and made custom adjustments to her Luca gown, customizing certain details, like making the back lower. Karolina says Galia was an absolute pleasure to work with, and truly made her experience one that she will never forget.
It was very important to the couple that their guests felt special and relaxed. They were traveling abroad for the wedding and proved to have the best time in sunny Andalucia with wonderful music and food.
In the beginning the couple considered getting married in their home country of Poland but they struggled to find a venue that offered “out of the box” outside options. With the ceremony, dinner, dancing and celebrating under the stars, an outdoor venue could be risky due to weather.
Andalucia, Spain was their next choice and they immediately fell in love with Cortijo Rosa Blanca. The location of the Cortijo offers a secret hideaway with a stunning backdrop of mountains, yet only 20 minutes from the beaches of Marbella. It was a perfect location for their week-long family reunion and 3 days of sparkling celebrations: from the magical wedding ceremony, romantic dinners under the sky, fireworks to casual BBQ, pool party, vintage ice-creams, paella, aperol spritz and DJs.
The design theme was based around elegant glam with soft, romantic and magical ambience: hanging chandeliers, many lanterns, candles and lights. Art deco, vintage elements and personal touch.
Karolina wanted to include a personal touch from home at her wedding, so there were a variety of polish cocktails to ensure there an authentic vibe for their friends and family who had travelled for the celebration.
Their wedding cake by Charly Cook Ice Cream was something very special and certainly something modern but with a vintage rustic touch. The cake featured silver and pink tiers with beautiful pink floral detail surrounding the top layer of the cake. The main cake was surrounded by pillars of macaroons on either side, certainly a delicious and aesthetically pleasing choice.
