It takes two to make a thing go right! It takes two to make it outta site! Rob Base and DJ EZ Rock we love you! And that song could easily have been the theme of Michelle and Chad's elopement to Santorini. The whole trip was just the two of them enjoying an adventure while saying "I do".
And what an adventure it was, you can find all of these photos and even more in the full gallery of photos from Eric James Photography, plus Studio Phosart also created a stunning wedding film that will have you feeling like you were right there with them!
We met through a mutual friend at an outdoor concert event in Uptown Charlotte. I knew Chad was the one when he introduced me to his 102-year-old grandpa in the nursing home and saw how much love he had for him and everyone around him. Chad proposed on my 30th birthday in Mexico. He rented out a gazebo over the ocean and surprised me with a private birthday dinner and proposed.
Our wedding was in Santorini Greece at Dana Villas. We eloped so it was just the two of us. It was a symbolic ceremony. It was intimate and romantic and perfect for us. We had a private dinner for the two of us at Dana Villas after our ceremony but we also held our big wedding reception at home for our friends and family at Sugar Creek Brewery in Charlotte, NC two weeks after we got back from our elopement. We chose our reception at Sugar Creek Brewery because we wanted something casual and fun to celebrate with our friends and family without too many formalities involved since it was an after-elopement party and not a traditional reception.
Eric James Photography was our photographer, we met him through a mutual friend and we loved his photography style. Not only is he talented but he was wonderful to work with. The entire night of just us and our photographer and videographer exploring Santorini and soaking up every moment of our wedding day without any distractions. It was like a fairytale for the two of us.
Marryme in Greece helped us with planning our wedding, as well as decorating the ceremony site, finding hair/makeup and booking officiant, provided cake, and coordinated the day of. Those people are amazing
I initially bought an Allure blue ballgown but decided 2 months before the wedding to purchase a different dress, an A-line blush color Allure dress, Style 9500. My best friend was with me when I found the 2nd dress and I knew it was the one and I had to make a last minute dress change. It suited me better and I knew 30 years down the road, I wouldn't regret looking back at my pictures.
